COPPER METAL SPINNING

Customers in the lighting industry needed reflectors, housings, mounting rings, and trim rings. These are custom-designed and manufactured using aluminum, steel, brass, and copper. We created the lighting components using our state-of-the-art spinning lathes, punch presses, and trim and bead machines, with overall part dimensions up to 60 in diameter of various depths by component.
We used our advanced metal spinning systems for spinning, cutting and beading the required metals per our customers specifications, with thickness for aluminum of .040 to .125, for steel 16GA to 22GA of thickness, and for brass and copper .040 to .080 of thickness, all with tolerances of .015. Our engineering department provided all of the tooling design, reverse engineering, and product developmentprototyping. Our team created the first prototypes in as early as one week from inception using 2D CAD drawings supplied by our client. Our plant created these components from individual prototypes to volumes of tens of thousands, including anodizing, painting, brushing, and polishing.
Our finished steel, brass, and copper components for the lighting industry are delivered nationwide.

WARNING SIREN BRASS HORNS CNC SPINNING

When a customer needed custom-designed brass horns for a warning siren application, Ace Metal Spinning was hired to complete the job using our advanced metal CNC spinning equipment. This was a challenging assignment which highlighted our design and engineering capabilities, as this was a difficult brass spinning to create. We engaged our CNC lathe, punch press, and trim and bead machines to spin and combine multiple pieces into an assembled horn. Consulting our engineering team for their tooling design, reverse engineering, and product developmentprototyping expertise, we designed these important components to customer specification using 2D CAD drawings while ensuring that the product met RoHS standards. The horns are made with .032" thick brass, are 15" in length, 4" wide, with a tolerance of +- .015".
Our state-of-the-art equipment produced these safety products by CNC spinning, trimming, hemming, and then soldering the multiple pieces together. We have gauge and visual inspections throughout the process to ensure the highest quality and dimensional requirements. In assembling these products we use lead free solder, to be RoHS compliant, a thread gauge to ensure the threaded bushing is in tolerance, and a height gauge to verify the overall height is within print tolerance as well.
The turnaround time to start this project was just 5 weeks, with 150 to 250 custom-designed warning siren brass horns per Kan-Ban release shipped for our customer to be used across the USA.

METAL SPINNING OF ALUMINUM LIGHT HOUSINGS

Ace Metal Spinning was contracted to manufacture an aluminum light housing using our advanced metal spinning systems. The customer needed 2000 units in three different sizes for pedestal lighting in parking lots across the United States. With over 65 years of precision metal spinning experience, we employed our spinning lathes, punch presses, and trim and bead machines to manufacture high-quality outdoor light housings to our customers specifications using 2D CAD drawings.
Our engineering department assisted with the tooling design and prototyping of the three different sizes of pedestal light housings, demonstrating our capabilities to create products of varying diameter and depth. Using dimensional and visual inspection to ensure high quality during the manufacturing process, these .080 thick aluminum housing components are spun in the following sizes: part A is 20.5 in diameter by 7.5 high, part B is 24 in diameter by 8.75 high, and part C is 28 in diameter by 10 38 high. Our state-of-the-art equipment fully engaged our spinning processes: spinning, trimming, beading, forming, and punching aluminum to create light housing products with tolerances of .030, all with a turnaround time of two weeks.

CLOCK ASSEMBLY STEEL METAL SPINNING

A clock manufacturer needed multiple cold rolled steel and aluminum parts for a promotional clock assembly. With over 65 years in the metal spinning industry, Ace Metal Spinning quoted the parts and was awarded the project. The construction of clocks is complex, and our knowledgeable staff and spinning department was up to the task. We employed our spinning lathes, punch presses, trimming and beading machines, and kickfoot presses to fabricate and spin the multiple steel and aluminum components required to make one complete unit. Using customer-supplied print and 2D CAD drawings, our engineering team fully utilized their specialties of tooling design, reverse engineering, and product developmentprototyping to help create 18 gauge steel and .050 aluminum clock parts with tolerances of .015.
Sizing checks were done throughout to maintain the high quality and fit of the clock parts, which were 15 in diameter and 3.5 high when completed. We were able to complete this project for our client in three weeks, and now our advanced metal spinning systems spin, punch, trim, and brush finish 3000 of these components per year, which are delivered to locations around the world.
