Airfloat air skids allow for the safe movement of your materials. Air skids, placed under a load for movement, can be used to move almost anything, including sensitive, high precision machinery. An optional pendant control provides "Dead Man" control over the air skid system. Capacities are dependent upon air caster sizes and quantity.

Supported by four air casters that float on a cushion of plant-supplied air, Air Platforms provide nearly friction-free movement in any direction for maximum flexibility—even with extremely high capacity loads. Plus, the low initial cost delivers a quick ROI while the proven durability of air bearings decreases ongoing maintenance costs.

Designed with air caster technology, large loads are easily rotated on Airfloat turntables. The enclosed structure design provides an operating surface and full protection for the air casters. Airfloat can design and build turntables to any size and load capacity. Special fixtures or load support hardware can also be provided.

Lift Glide air skids are designed to easily attach to fully loaded carts or dollies that are too difficult to move using the existing wheels. Simply bolt Lift Glides onto the fixture and connect the air hoses. Turn on the air, and the Lift Glides extend down to lift the wheels off the floor. Supported on air bearings, the dolly can be easily moved in any horizontal direction.

This table can rotate up to 4, 000-pound loads for optimum ergonomic positioning. Airfloat turntables have specially-developed urethane air bearing material, attached to a corrosion-resistant steel back place with a rolled edge seal, for maximum strength. Position dividers are available.
