Pocket Subassembly

Allied Precision was commissioned by a customer in the medical industry to manufacture a custom pocket subassembly and insert. Milling and turning processes were expertly carried out on our cutting edge CNC vertical mill, along with boring and drilling operations. The subassembly was manufactured from Delrin 500 or Acetron GP, brand names for an engineering thermoplastic known for its high strength and stability. Finished dimensions for the subassembly were 5.070" long x 3.406" wide x 6.017" high, with an internal diameter of 0.8530". The insert was composed of stainless steel tubing, machined to a smooth 63 RA finish. Completed dimensions for the insert were 3.625" long, outside diameter measuring 0.8550", inside diameter of 0.625", and weight of 0.117 lbs. The tight tolerances of +0.0000"-0.0005" were held throughout machining, along with an angular tolerance of 1.

Stud Gripper

A customer in the oil refinery industry selected Allied Precision to custom fabricate a stud gripper that is used for the removal of studs, typically damaged or corroded requiring upgrades. Type 4340 and 4820 hot rolled alloy steel was turned and milled to the customer specified dimensions, employing our newest Precision CNC lathe and mill. To meet the required specifications on the part, boring and grooving processes were also applied. Tight tolerances of +0.003"-0.000" and an angular tolerance of 1 were held throughout machining. The part was deburred to remove any unwanted particles and prepared for heat treatmenttempering for optimal strength and wear resistance. The finished surface met the required hardness ratings of Rc 49-51 and Rc 60. Thorough visual and dimensional inspections were applied during production to certify accuracy and quality.

Threaded Eccentric Counter

Allied Precision was recently contracted to manufacture a threaded eccentric counter weight that would be used in the pharmaceutical industry application. This part was fabricated on our precision CNC machined using 303 stainless steel. We employed turning and milling processes to precisely shape the material, along with drilling and tapping the holes to cut the internal threads. After deburring to smooth and clean the parts from any leftover materials, we assembled the units per customer specifications and prepared them for shipping to a company in NY. 1000 parts were produced, taking only 6 minutes each to machine.

Connector Spud Coupling

Allied Precision was contracted to fabricate a custom Connector spud for a hose and coupling manufacturer. Employing our advanced CNC lathe, we performed turning, boring, and threading processes on C1215 steel component. This process allowed us to maintain dimensional tolerances of .005", and angular tolerances of 1. Finished dimensions for this part were 1-38" high, a 1-78" hex, extruded threads of 1.814"1.812", and cut threads of 1.877"1.865".

Housing Fuel Filter

A customer in the power generation industry contracted Allied Precision for the custom CNC machining of the fuel filter housing as shown here. 316 steel was turned and milled on our state-of-the-art CNC lathe with live tooling and our CNC vertical mill. Drilling and chamfer cutting were also utilized for the openings and angled grooves of the part. To remove any residual material from machining, the housing was deburred and ball honed to properly finish the bored surfaces. The part maintained a mix of a raw and machined finishes. Exacting tolerance of 0.05mm and an angular tolerance of 30 min were held throughout. Two hundred pieces were delivered to the client in Pennsylvania with a turnaround time of 4 weeks.

ELBOW HOSE

A government defense contractor needed a company with the experience and reputation for high quality work to provide them with a custom machined 90 elbow fitting, utilized for ship refueling and controlled fluid transfer. Allied Precision was contracted to take on the job, utilizing our advanced CNC lathe to turn and bore 316 stainless steel to the specified size and shape, maintaining tight tolerances of +0.002" and 30 MIN (angular) throughout. This fitting has a finished outer diameter of 6.62" and inner diameter of 5.27", with a raw machined finish. This part was cleaned and smoothed with our deburring process, 200 units were packaged for shipment to the customer on the East Coast. Turnaround time for this project was 3-4 weeks.

Allied Precision was contracted by a customer in the pharmaceutical industry for the custom machining of a "monoblock" vial, used for medical pill dispensing. Precision CNC turning and milling processes were carried out on 6061 T6 aluminum, using our advanced CNC mill. Boring operations were also applied for the inside diameter. Finished dimensions for the part were 0.75" high, an outer diameter of 7.100", and an inner diameter of 1.520", with a weight of 1.74lbs. Tightest tolerances of +0.005" and: 1 (angular) were held throughout production.
