Silflex sheets are the non-toxic and non-hazardous alternative to a lead blanket. They clean-up easy and eliminate the possibility of mixed waste contamination costs. Silflex sheets come in various sizes and thicknesses, starting at 18” thick. Standard sheets come with grommets and are available with or without yellow. As with all of our products Silflex sheets can be customized. These lead alternative sheets are available in many radiation shielding materials like Silflex, Silflex Fe, Mix and Neutron.

Silflex platform shielding is a great product for shielding solid or grated platforms. Not only does platform flooring provide a quick installation for an excellent radiation shield, it also provides workers with a cushioned work surface for kneeling. Standard protective floor covering thickness is 1.25”. Available with or without yellow. Other anti radiation material thickness is available upon request.

Metal Grommets: can be added as needed for easy application. Magnets: Magnetic properties can be added to assist in quick application. Metal Supported: Add metal components to almost all radiation protection products for additional support. Permanent: Depending on application, Silflex may be installed as a permanent shielding material with up to 20+ years of life

High density tungsten putty is available for emergency hot spot remediation kits. Putty bags weigh approximately 5lbs. and come in a sealed disposable latex covering, the standard size is 5″ x 8″ x .5″ thick for excellent tungsten shielding.

The Reactor Coolant Pump seal shielded work platform reduces personnel exposure and contamination events while enhancing Industrial Safety and worker comfort. The modular design is custom fit to your RCP hold down bolt ring inner radius, reducing installation time and eliminating shine. Cushioned shielding material creates a barrier between personnel and the highly contaminated and irregular inner surfaces which lowers exposure rates, contamination events, and wear and tear on workers knees. Composite shielding effective for gamma and neutron fields is now available for your Dry Fuel Storage campaigns. This high temperature neutron and gamma radiation shielding easily withstands the heat generated during forced helium drying which allows shielding to remain in place during the dewatered phase. A special blend of shielding material moderates and attenuates both fast and intermediate neutrons while the outer tungsten layer eliminates primary and secondary gammas. The lightweight design of this neutron shielding material allows access to the weld locations without disturbing the majority of the shield package. 80-95% reductions in exposure rates have been achieved in field applications
