Stamped Channel

  • Dimensions 8.348” in length x 0.254” in width x 0.125”
  • Material stainless steel
At American Industrial Company, we are equipped to handle large, complex jobs with expediency. Designed for use in an angled finish nailer, we fabricated the brad channel pictured here for a customer in the power tool industry.

Our in-house die design capabilities enabled us to engineer a progressive stamping die to completely form the multiple bends and angled geometries in a single sequence of operations.

Featuring 301 hard stainless steel construction, this component had finished dimensions of 8.348 in length x 0.254 in width x 0.125 in height. High throughput equipment combined with precision cut dies enabled us to hold tight 0.005 tolerances repeatedly throughout the entire 50, 000 unit production run. In-process visual and dimensional inspections validated conformance with the customer specifications.

Stamped Jaw Assembly

  • Dimensions 0.9” in length x 0.76” in height,
  • dimensional accuracy ±.0002”.
We fabricated this front jaw staple guide assembly according to very tight tolerance requirements precision was critical for accurate actuation of the stapling mechanism. We progressive die cut C1050 spring steel into the desired form and then gave the components a tumbled finish to clean and deburr.

An austempering heat treatment to 44-50 RC improved the mechanical properties and eliminated the chances of the part distorting, even under repeated impact. We inserted the rivets, ground the components to precise dimensions and applied a bright nickel plated finish.

Shallow Draw Golf Ball Stencil

  • thick .024″
  • diameter 3.2″
Our ability to fill the needs of such a vast array of applications is derived from our continual investment in our people and equipment. Our reputation as a world class provider of high quality manufactured parts has grown over the years; word has gotten around, and recently reached a customer in the golfing industry.

Anyone who has ever been on a green knows what a tin cup is; if you do, were sure that just by reading this you can hear the ball hitting the bottom of the cup after a nice putt. Like so many of the parts and components that we manufacture, they live in a world that we barely think of unless youre tasked with getting them manufactured, or in this case, a greens keeper. This tin cup project is a perfect example.

Our years of work in progressive die stamping have allowed us to develop a tool room that is vast. This resource is of great value for customers who need small amounts of a common geometry. This customer needed a single tin cup for this order, so we went to our tool room database to search for an existing die that would fit the bill. Luckily, we came up with a progressive die set that fit the need exactly.
