With our superior radio frequency (RF) welding services, APPF Inc. custom fabricates large area maintenance shelter (LAMS) tension building panels, made from 23 oz. triple laminate PVC, for clients in the military & private industry. We begin each project with a customer-supplied print and a 2D auto CAD drawing. Using our clients CAD engineering drawings, we develop a manufacturing process by dividing up the job into a series of Sewing and RF Welding operations along with the design of tooling and fixtures. Once tooling and fixtures are created and validated the process engineering phase is complete, leading to full scale production.
Because of our commitment to upholding the highest medical standards, our clients rely on our superior industrial sewing services to fabricate this urethane surgical positioning device for the medical industry. Measuring 46" long and 42" wide, each device weights 7 lbs. and features 2" wide straps. We hold tolerances down to +- .06", +- 5°, and a maximum .125" edge distance for welds. This device is manufactured with TPU Urethane & Polystyrene beads. To fabricate the surgical positioning device, APPF uses a combination of RF welding, industrial sewing, and assembly. We orient and weld 90° valves into position, and weld in a urethane reinforcement patch. We also weld the top and bottom layers together and weld the grommets in place.

A perfect example of our radio frequency (RF) sealing services, this custom PVC catheter bag is designed for use within medical applications. From tooling and process engineering development to RF welding and printing, APPF Inc. handles every aspect of bag sub-assembly fabrication. We use hot stamp printing, with Pantone black 6 C to apply the necessary details to the bag. Made from customer specified PVC, the bag is fabricated with a 10-kW 2-cycle RF welder. The drainage bag is built to customer specified dimension. To ensure precision and quality, we hold tolerances down to +- .05 mm and adhere closely to a customer-supplied print and 2D CAD drawing. This Customers PVC catheter bag took approximately 6 weeks to develop to his specifications.
Used in conjunction with a large area maintenance shelter (LAMS) tension fabric building panel, these custom webbing straps are fabricated by APPF Inc. using a combination of industrial sewing, radio frequency (RF) welding, and marking. In accordance with a customer-supplied print, each strap is made on a programmable sewing machine and features a 4-point, 6-9 SPI pattern. A Sheffield programmable web-cutting machine measures, cuts, and marks the material, and we heat seal all webbing ends using RF welding. we use polyester webbing and 3-cord polyester thread as our primary materials, along with aluminum rings and a steel ratchet buckle.
