MICO specializes in producing Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic grating; both molded and pultruded. These products are extremely durable and have incredible load-supporting capability over long spans. FRP grating is available with a factory applied grit slip resistant surface. These products are also corrosion-resistant, making them an excellent candidate for saltwater or corrosive environments.

ontinuous Insulation (CI) is defined as “insulation that is continuous across all structural members without thermal bridges other than fasteners and service openings.” The challenge lies in how to design and construct the juncture of materials incorporating the varying thicknesses of insulation and different building finishes. AMICO offers the lath and specially designed accessories to accommodate any thickness of insulation. AMICO lath and accessories meet IBC, RBC and ASTM Standards. For many reasons, AMICO products are ideal for water and wastewater treatment plants. These corrosive and slippery environments require the use of special materials and different coatings with a high level of slip resistance. We use our industrial materials to produce and fabricate stairs, catwalks and platforms from materials such as stainless steel, aluminum and fiberglass reinforced plastic.

MICO Safety Plank Grating products feature one-piece cold-formed construction to shape channels and sheet flooring. Surfaces formed in the grating provide excellent traction and slip-resistance and allow water, oil and snow to drain through. The orientation of the plank creates two different designs; channeled versus walkway. The walkway design has a built-in kickplate or toeboard. Each type of walking surface incorporates diamond shaped openings or round de-bossed holes and traction buttons to form the slip-resistant surface.

Exterior Insulation and Finish System or EIFS was developed in Europe after World War II to retrofit solid masonry walls. It has evolved primarily into a commercial exterior wall cladding system that consists of an insulation board attached to the substrate with a base coat and finish coat to simulate the look of stucco, though it’s not as resistant to abuse as stucco. AMICO lath is frequently used in these retrofit applications because of it’s superior strength and stiffness over non-metallic lath. AMICO lath and accessory beads meet IBC, RBC and ASTM Standards.

MICO began manufacturing expanded metal lath and lathing accessories in 1939. Metal lath is the established substrate for stucco, plaster and veneer stone for residential and commercial buildings throughout the world. Our versatile lath meets the design contours of the structure; it is low-maintenance and creates a good insulator from the elements.
