Avis Industries is a stocking distributor of numerous MS, AN, NAS and Mil-Spec fasteners. Inserts, nuts, bolts, screws, washers and various military hardware fasteners are inventoried at our plant. We also provide the service of locating hard-to-find items for our customers. Avis also manufactures various ordnance and army special fasteners to exacting tolerances for the aerospace and defense industries. Specialty pins and bushings are our primary fabricated fasteners. We also stamp shims, gaskets and specialty washers. Our machine shop machines shafts, pins, rod ends, couplings and studs, just to name a few. Our sheet metal shop is involved in all major aspects of metal fabrication. The shop produces such items as aircraft air ducting, specialty boxes, battery boxes, brackets, cabinets, catches, clamps, clips, corners, gaskets, handles, special hinges, levers, shims and non-standard washers. Avis welding facilities include heliarc, wire and spot welding. We specialize in beautiful hard-to-do aluminum weldments. Rubber and plastic parts are also supplied by Avis. Though not molded in house, we do machine in our shop the tooling, usually a major cost of short to midterm productions, in house. Turn key services are provided, from raw material through fabrication to required mil spec finishes and federal packing specifications.
