ASTM A-572: A High Strength Low Alloy steel offering a minimum yield of 50 KSI for bar up to 4 thick. Consider this grade whenever a cost saving from a weight reduction can be gained. ASTM A-588: Also known as Weathering Steel, offers similar physical characteristics as High Strength Low Alloy Bar, but also are Copper Bearing and offer approximately two to four times the corrosion resistance of Carbon Steel Bars.
Plate AZCO Steel has the Steel Plate You are Looking for In Stock. AZCO Steel stocks steel plate from 316 thick through 8 thick in the following grades:ASTM A-36: Used in general steel plate applications when the plate will be riveted, bolted, or welded. This steel is produced to chemical and mechanical properties that offer a minimum yield of 36 KSI and a tensile range of 58 KSI to 80 KSI on plates up to 8 thick. ASTM A572-Gr 50: A High Strength-Low Alloy steel plate that is similar to ASTM A-36 but offers a 50 KSI minimum Yield and is typically used whenever a cost savings from a weight reduction can be gained. Charpy V-Notch Test available. AZCO stocks ASTM A572-Gr50 plates up to 4 thick. ASTM A588: A High Strength-Low Alloy steel plate similar to ASTM A572-Gr50 but is a Copper Bearing steel offering approximately four times the corrosion resistance of structural carbon steel grades.
