Boston Centerless offers laser marking to ensure proper labeling and coding of material. Bars can be laser marked with important information such as material type, diameter, heat andor lot numbers, and customer part numbers. The information is permanently etched onto the surface of the bars. Job orders are traceable to mill certifications - a critical factor to many applications in maintaining product integrity. One very important benefit of laser marking is eliminating liability issues due to incorrect material type being used for job orders. The marking is non-destructive, having no effect on the outer diameter, and is done on the drop end of the bar so that material is not wasted.
