Manufacturer / Exporter / Supplier Of Precision Flat Burnouts, Commercial Building Steel Components, Friction Pilings, Electrical Distribution Poles, Retriever Plasma Burning System
Browning Enterprise specializes in precision flat burnouts by utilizing high definition plasma and laser technology controlled by state of the art software. In combination with our precision flattening equipment we can provide our customers with a superior product.
Browning Enterprise’s wide range of equipment and capabilities has allowed us to specialize in commercial building component fabrication. We have the experience to produce a variety of components from store fronts to blast proof window frames for high profile federal buildings. We can cut, grind, flatten, form, fabricate, and coat these products to any specifications.
Friction Pilings can offer a cost effective alternative to traditional pilings or caissons due to the reduced depth required for desired load capacity. This is due to the increased frictional resistance created by the tapered shape being driven. The advantage of friction pilings is that the soil condition will be able to carry a substantial higher load when the pile is tapered. They can be made in various shapes and sizes to accommodate soil and capacity considerations. The polygonal tapered lower section usually has 12 sides, with bottom and top diameters that vary from 6” to 50”. The length can range from 6’ to 35’. Grade 50 steel is typically used, with higher grades available upon request. The thickness can range from 316” to 58”. Circularization of the top of the polygon conforms to the diameter of the steel pipe extension and a butt weld assures development of the full strength of the piling elements.
The electric distribution and utility industry is moving towards using tapered steel poles. At Browning Enterprise we have over a decade of experience, and the capabilities to produce these poles and accompanying hardware.
In July of 1995 Browning Enterprise, Inc., purchased a plasma burning system for our steel processing division located in Northeast Alabama. This was the culmination of nine months of investigation into the burning system technology at many facilities. Early in this investigation it became apparent that although the technology to increase the speed of burning had advanced tremendously, there was the growing challenge of removing the finished material from the table. The most common approach to the material handling problem is with hand magnets and man power. This has several negative points: Violation of safety standards Strenuous (possible back injury) Dangerous (possible foot injury in slats) Slow (loss of production) Bottom line – Costly Through trial and error, and mostly out of necessity, we have developed the Retriever. The addition of this system to our burning machine has greatly enhanced productivity, improved safety and ease of operation of the whole system. So much so, that several factory representatives and machine tool salesmen who have seen this system urged us to offer this system to the industry.
