In this project Central Ohio Metal Stamping manufactured a rear suspension crossmember for a trucking industry customer, turning the project around in just one week. Central Ohio Metal Stamping offers numerous fabrication capabilities which allow them to provide precision manufactured products for customers in a wide range of industries. Working from the customer supplied specs and 2D CAD drawings which called out the use of grade 50 HRPO steel; manufacturing began die fabrication using an Agie Wire EDM. Steel blanks were cut on a Mazak 3D 6-axis laser cutter, and then formed on press brakes and deep draw stamping presses to tolerances of ±.005". For additional corrosion resistance, galvanizing, electro-coating, and paint was applied. During the entire manufacturing run, dimensional and visual inspections were a constant. Central Ohio Metal Stamping manufactured and assembled 1, 000 of these suspension crossmembers in just one week, a testimony to their ability to quickly deliver precision parts.

The oil breather tank highlighted here was manufactured by Central Ohio Metal Stamping for a customer in the automotive aftermarket industry. The customer supplied 2D CAD drawings and called out the use of aluminum. The dimensions and geometry required the use of various high tech metal forming processes including metal stamping. An in-house tooling department fabricated the dies utilizing an Agie wire EDM, this internal resource minimized tooling costs, and adds a measure of control to the process. A Mazak 3D 6-axis laser was used providing high-precision cutting of the aluminum blanks. The tank sections were formed using a deep draw stamping press and then assembled utilizing advanced 6-axis OTC Daihen robotic welding cells. These cutting edge processes allowed for tolerances of ±.005" throughout the fabrication process, which were verified by comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections.

Central Ohio Metal Stamping was asked by a telecommunications industry customer to stamp this anti-tilt leg for use in large server units. Central Ohio Metal Stamping can stamp, form, assemble, countersink, drill, and tap a variety of steel and sheet metal. The customer's 2D CAD drawings called out the use of cold rolled steel. Manufacturing of the components required stamping and sheet metal forming which was performed on precision stamping press and press brake. Other operations included countersinking, drilling, tapping, and complete assembly.
