This machining cell consists of multiple CNC Lathes which not only complete the needed turning operations, but also have the capability using Y-Axis, Live Tooling (TurnMill) to complete multiple spot, drill, and tap operations with great efficiency. Additional operations within the cell include light assembly, key cutting (broaching), and date code engraving. There are also multiple dedicated inspections to verify the upmost quality of product coming off the line for a part that requires precision machining with tolerances as tight as +- .0015.
This international franchise approached us with a specific task in mind. They had a series of canopies and arches used on the façade of their restaurant that needed painting. The 7'x 9' fiberglass canopy weighed nearly 500 lbs and the series of arches ranged from 10 to 25 ft long, and weighed between 50 and 200 lbs. We created custom racking and handling apparatuses for product staging and transported the arches to our Global Finishing Solutions dust collection booth, where we scuffed, sanded and then cleansed and wiped down each arch to prevent contamination.
We machined and assembled the gear case and components for this sod cutter gearbox and delivered it to our customer in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Using customer supplied specs and 2D cad drawings, we use CNC Turning (Chucking and Live Tooling Lathes) and Milling (Vertical and Horizontal) Machining Centers to machine components and the gear case casting to spec. Tires for this assembly are produced in house by molding and vulcanizing rubber to a wheel castings using our own custom molding equipment (built in house). Other components and hardware not produced in house are procured and supplied from outside vendors.
Store Front Chapter 2 Incorporated is a one stop shop, working directly with clients to engineer any project imaginable. Our engineering team worked closely with our client to meet our customer's specific branding requirements and guidelines. Because of our wide range of capabilities, we were able to work with conceptual drawings to engineer and manufacture this nationally recognized fast food chain store front. Built with a steel structural frame and aluminum trim, the individual components of this store front were cut and assembled in our climate controlled facilities. Overall dimensions for the front are 20' x 18' and sides are 20' x 20' x 8". We also assisted with any on-site installation needed. Our team created the structure by using an oxy-acetylene torch to cut both the structural steel and aluminum trim. Our welders employed both TIG and MIG welding to combine the pieces, as well as any bending and forming necessary. We then wet painted the panels in our painting facility and provided pre-assembly work for the fiberglass promotional panels. Project lead time: 2-3 Weeks.
