Medical Waste

Cleanway's Medical Waste Disposal Service

It is in the nature of firms within the medical and pharmaceutical sector to generate clinical and medical waste. It is not, however, in their nature to know exactly how to deal with it.

It is in the nature of Cleanway Environmental Services. We have staff with specific expertise in medical waste management.

We know what to do with medical waste and clinical waste, which can range from objects with dangerously sharp edges to animal and human tissue waste or waste that could potentially cause disease. We also know what to do with pharmaceutical waste and cytotoxic waste.

Because such clinical and medical waste poses a unique risk to the environment and human health, it requires different treatment from other waste products.

Medical waste disposal must comply with the NSW governments Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and as such is best handled by experts like Cleanway.

Industrial Waste Cleanup Service

Cleanway's Industrial Waste Cleanup Service

Generating industrial waste is a reality for businesses small and large, but the management of such waste is not necessarily something they know much about.

Cleanway does.
We offer an obligation-free assessment of your businesss current industrial waste management process and how it measures up to the regulatory requirements and to industry best practice.

Our industrial waste experts are then able to tailor a more efficient, healthier, more environmentally friendly, specialised solution that meets the industrial waste needs of your business.

That solution can include collection, treatment, removal, recycling and disposal services for a wide range of liquid, solid and other industrial waste streams. From oils and solvents to resins and water waste, we can handle your industrial waste needs.

We manage all procedures and documentation to ensure strict compliance with guidelines and regulations (the key NSW government statutes concerning industrial waste management, storage, processing, recovery and disposal include the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2001 and the Protection of the Environment Operations (Waste) Regulation 2005).

Chemical Recycling Service

When it comes to managing waste, the next best option after avoidance is resource recovery: reusing, reprocessing, recycling. Sustainability has rightly become the new industry buzzword, and it is an imperative for businesses across industry sectors.

We can assist your business with the recycling of oils, batteries, paint and chemicals. It makes both environmental and economic sense for any business to be reducing its waste, and recycling is a simple, cost-effective way to drive down the total waste load of your business. It is not only a positive for the environment, but for staff morale, the businesss reputation and the bottom line.

Cleanway can help your business with its recycling strategy to save you money, minimise waste, save the environment, and polish up your green credentials.

Our experts can carry out a waste assessment for your business, to find out where most of the waste is being generated, what type of waste it is, and whether recycling can be part of the management and minimisation of that waste.

We can then design an efficient recycling system, which may even be as simple as providing and collecting recycling bins.
