Discrete carbonyl nickel powders are quasi-spherical individual particles several microns in diameter with applications in powder metallurgy, diamond tools, specialty metal alloys, welding rods, and electronics industry.

Filamentary carbonyl nickel powders are high aspect ratio, chain-like particles with applications in production of battery and fuel cell electrodes, conductive paints and plastics, and high temperature filters.
