This versatile wheel may be modified to fit any type of grinder mounting or spindle configuration. Aluminum hubs with custom recesses, bearing bores and tapered bores are commonly supplied. Any of the five basic hub designs can be modified to adapt to any grinding apparatus.

C130 Contact Wheels are dynamically balanced to assure smooth vibration-free operation and may be recovered for a considerable cost savings.

C134 Quick Change has a removable aluminum hub that accepts a range of tires in various face widths and hardness. All hubs and tires are independently balanced to assure smooth, vibration-free operation. This wheel (hub and tire) is compatible with those of the same design from other manufacturers. Assembly of a replacement tire onto a quick-change hub is easily done. Simply remove the flat head allen set-screws from the retaining ring; remove the worn tire, and replace it with a new tire; re-assemble the retaining ring and make sure the balance marks are properly aligned.ire Specifications

C200 Contact Wheels utilize aluminum flanges to reduce a 3-12" pilot hole to the required bore size. With the flanges assembled, the wheel has an 1-14" length through the bore making it adaptable to shorter than usual spindles. Both wheels and flanges are dynamically balanced independently for smooth operation. Wheels and flanges may be used interchangeably with products of the same design from other manufacturers.

Wheels are made of a heavy-gauge steel core with rubber molded to the diameter. Rubber densities range from 20 to 95 durometers with a plain or serrated face. Standard diameters are 12" and 14" with face widths from 1" to 4" in 12" increments.

Soft Grind Foam Covered Contact Wheels remove stock with a gentle touch and are used in automatic finishing equipment. Contact wheels covered with Soft Grind material are typically used in multi-stationed robotic cells where repeatability of finish is important to the end product.

Worn wheels from other manufacturers can be salvaged and recovered with Soft Grind at considerable savings. Soft Grind covering is available on C134, C130 and C200 contact wheels

The 6" diameter plain face expander wheels use a standard 18-1516" coated abrasive band. Expansion caused by centrifugal force during the wheel's rotation holds the band in place. The smooth surface beneath the abrasive sleeve allows this expander to be used for light sanding and contour finishing with fine grit abrasives. Coarser abrasive sleeves may be used for more aggressive stock removal.

The slotted expander wheel uses standard coated abrasive sleeves that completely encase the wheel diameter. The abrasive sleeve is held securely in place during operation by centrifugal force created by the wheel's rotation. This wheel may be used for stock removal and general-purpose sanding.

C131 T-Clamp Contact Wheels provide an inexpensive method of grinding a variety of materials using coated abrasives.

Worn abrasive can be replaced with ease. The abrasive strip may be cut from a 1-12" wide utility roll. The length of the strip should be 19-58" with a notch cut at both ends. The strip is then held securely in place with the adjustable T-clamp.

Constructed using rubber, polyurethane (PU) or ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), CRC backing pads are offered with hook and loop, pressure sensitive adhesive or locking abrasive interface options. They quickly and easily snap into a shaft or mandrel.
