We have our own vibration welders to help in prototype welding and short production runs.

Since 1977, Craig Machinery & Design Inc. has designed and built automation machinery for the plastics industry. Craig Machinery & Design is an authorized Integrator for Fanuc America. We have experience with using robot cells for material handling, assembly and dispensing. Craig Machinery also has programmed ABB, Denso, IAI and Yamaha 6-axis and SCARA robots.

Craig Machinery can build your Manual or Semi-Manual assembly stations with part sensors, bin pick sensing, screw driver feedback and vision systems to assure all components of an assembly are present. Machine reset reject chutes, programmed touch screens with assembly maps and pick lights are used to assist the operator in making a perfect part every time.

If a hermetic seal from welding is a must, Craig Machinery can leak test your part either online or offline from the welding system. Whether 100% leak testing or lot sampling, Craig Machinery can accommodate your leak test requirements with pressure decay or mass flow leak test systems.

Clamshell blister packaging has become popular for high visibility of the product, but making the clamshell tamper-resistant is a must. Ultrasonic welding requires no adhesives, heatshrink bands or staples and the final package will have a nice appearance and high strength. Craig Machinery & Design, Inc. pioneered continuous welding for produce and baking industry packaging machines. This application includes high speed lettuce tub lid welders with speeds of up to 100 fpm. We can also build machines for plunge welding clamshell packages for a variety of sizes and cycle times.
