Machinery Bushings

Machinery bushings are needed and used in different applications, part, and service areas, as shims, spacers, bushings, and wear plates. In addition, washer bushings can take up play or fill a gap, and in many cases are designed into new part designs as well as used for repairs on existing products or assemblies.

DACO Precision-Tool produces a full range of narrow and wide rim machinery bushings for a variety of customers and hardware distributors across the country plus abroad. We also stock a full range of bushings in different sizes, all made with ID bolt clearance, along with narrow rim or wide rim profiles. Our capabilities also extend to the production of heavy gage sizes, such as 316 thick and special order 14 thick sizes.

You can purchase machinery bushings from DACO with a number of finishes, including plain or zinc clear and yellow or black finish. We also entertain special orders, such as stainless steel or high carbon steel bushings with hardening as well as metal bushings that are hardened and ground to exact thickness or shim requirements.

Most common sizes, such as 18GA-.048, 14GA-.068, and 10GA-.138 are in stock and can be shipped quickly out of our inventory. Please contact us for price list or quick price quote.

Progressive Dies

Progressive Die Stamping is the process to modifying the raw material through a series of punch press cycles and the re-positioning of the raw material. You may see one or multiple processes combined to produce a finished part such as; Punching, Bending, Coining and Drawing or Tapping of the raw material. These processes; when performed in multiple operations or cycles of the press will produce a finished part through the progressive dietool, saving youre the expense of set-up time, and reduces the overall labor and production costs.

Here at DACO Precision-Tool its our goal to design and build our progressive dies to exceed 100 strokes per minute to support high volume production. We can achieve this by building in sensors and other accessories to protect the die from damage. Cycle time is always kept in mind when designing and building our progressive die tooling.

Parts are produced when the feed system pushes (strip or bulk coils) of raw material into the feed port of the progressive die tool; at each stroke or cycle of the press until the finished part is produced out the other end of the tooling. The feed rate of the material is controlled by the hard stops in each die section and the sensors built into the tooling. The final die section regardless of the number of tooldie sections required to produce a finished part; performs the cut-off operation. This separates the finished part from the carrying web; allowing the finished part to falls into the parts collection bin. The carrying web and material removed during the prior stages are conveyed to the scrap shoot and dropped into the scrap collection system.

Form Dies

DACO can design and build bending and forming tools, usually considered a secondary operation where a flat blank or part is placed into the tool and formed and bent with one or more operation or single press cycle, Usually lower volume parts will be formed and produced from secondary bending and forming tools.

BendForm Dies are used to bend, form, or draw the material or part into a variety of angles and shapes. This can be done as a secondary tool and operation, or it can be built into a progressive die.

DACO Precision-Tool uses a variety of 2D and 3D cadcam Software to develop, design, and plan the layout of our dies. (see below for the full software list & details). We have the resources to build a die for any application. When high volumes of production are expected, we can build a dependable tool with longevity in mind. We can also produce low-cost tools for prototyping and sampling applications. Die protection is always on our mind, and DACO Precision-Tool can build in sensors that will help prevent costly damage to the die.

Do you have a tooldie that isnt running right, or as quickly as you need? DACO Precision-Tool can troubleshoot, modify, and repair existing tooling to get it up and running like you need it to.

Die Cast Tooling

We custom build die casting and injection tooling (including Trim Dies), used in the manufacture of metallic and non-metallic components. Our tooling division can make dies for components of varied sizes and materials. For instance, our tools have been used in the manufacture of products ranging from small plastic toys to heavy-duty military equipment.

Die casting and injection tooling types that we manufacture include die cast molds, plastic injection molds, multi-cavity dies, and master unit dies (MUD).

We build die cast tooling with single or multiple cavities for brass, zinc and aluminum castings. If required, we can offer trim tools for cast parts as well.

Plastic injection molds are available with both conventional runner systems and hot runner systems. We make modular molds with built-in side action and complimentary tooling for over molds too.

Our multi-cavity dies and master unit dies are suitable for both metal and plastic applications. M.U.D. units can be made with built-in unit holders in standard or specialty M.U.D. sizes.

2D and 3D CADCAM software packages, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, are used to design dies in-house. While designing dies, our designers take into consideration all the operational factors of the dies. For example, tools used for high-volume production are designed factoring in longevity.

Low-cost dies for prototyping or sample applications can be built in short time frames. Also, we can modify, troubleshoot, and repair your existing tools and dies.
