Fully integrated projects have included transportable operations shelters complete with networks, workstations and power generators for complete image processing in remote locations.

Designed by the recognized leader in full motion antenna industry, the L3 Datron Communication-on-the-move (COTM) antenna system is no exception. With a family of three (3) different pedestals, including the only available 3-axis system for full hemispherical coverage, L3 Datron makes COTM simple!

L3 Datron antenna systems have received either permanent or experimental licensing from the FCC and are ITU compliant. Each unit has been qualified to MIL-STD-810, and under contract with the US Army are undergoing WGS ARSTRAT certification as well. With three aperture size options: 16 in (41cm), 18 in (46cm), 20 in (51cm), and three frequency options: X, Ku, Ka, the L3 Datron COTM Antenna Systems provide users the greatest possible mission and deployment flexibility.

L3 Datron has designed and manufactured Range Telemetry antenna systems throughout the life of the company. We have provided systems for telemetry ranges in the far north for Norway, Alaska and Canada, as well as ranges in salt-air and humid tropics including Kwajalein Atoll and Asian regions. L3 Datron provides antenna diameters from 1-meter through 18.3-meters covering all telemetry frequencies for both transmit and receive requirements.

Our most advanced Telemetry Antennas feature our state-of-the-art control scheme and high COTS content for lower life cycle costs and extreme reliability for missions requiring small to medium aperture (3.1 through 8.5-meter) reflectors.

The Datron Navy EHF SATCOM Program (NESP) antenna system is currently deployed on every major surface vessel in the U.S. fleet. Using a proven stabilization system, the NESP antenna is used in conjunction with the ANUSC-38 satellite communication system for secure MILSTAR communications. First produced in 1990 Datron has delivered over 450 shipsets.

OE-82(C)WSC Satellite Communications Group. This was designed to support the U.S. Navy ANWSC-UHF or other UHF radio sets operating between 240 and 318 MHz. The system will operate at continuous wave power up to 400 watts, with a peak envelop power of 800 watts. Over the life of the program, Datron has delivered over 500 shipsets.

Designed and built to support the telemetry needs of early Space Shuttle flights, Datron supplied three, 9-meter systems for the U.S.S. Redstone, a floating telemetry station. Featuring a robust and highly accurate elevation over azimuth positioner, these systems provided many years of service. After the decommissioning of the U.S.S. Redstone, the antennas are currently scheduled for installation at shore based ground stations.

L3 Datron was the first to deliver airborne antennas providing live entertainment from Direct Broadcast Satellites to commercial airline passengers and business jet users. For nearly two decades, our antennas have seen continuous service on commercial airlines and business jets, and provided a reliable revenue stream for users.

In addition to it commercial applications, L3 Datron has been a pathfinder for the US Government on a variety of different airborne platforms. These include both fixed and rotor winged, as well as manned and unmanned aircraft.
