Commission Work Since Draper Knitting is a vertical mill we offer all of the services you might need to commission out. Non-woven stitch bonding Bending Carding Knitting (both conventional and pile) Stock dyeing Piece dyeing Coating Heat Setting Napping Dolly Washing Padding Inspection and roll up Bunheads Fluffs We have also been commissioned to create small projects including our cut and sew capabilities, creating custom blankets, dyeing and packaging options and the sky is the limit. If you have a project that you would like us to quote on, please give us a call, if it is something that we cannot do, we are happy to refer you to someone we might know or manage a project for you.

Carding We have a total of six cards in our facility, with the ability to card both course and fine fibers.

Shearing Equipped with two complete shear lines, we have the ability to shear just about anything from very high-pile paint rollers and buffing pads to very low-pile applications that require precision. We have experience shearing many different fibers from wool and polyester fabrics to cut resistant blends featuring Nomex®, Kevlar® or Celliant®.

We have been making high pile jacquard fabrics for over 20 years and have in-house CAD (computer-aided design) capabilities to make your JPEG into a custom designed high pile fabric.

Picking Blending Whether we are blending many bales of the same fiber to open and emulsify them or the intimate blending of many different fibers for the ultimate performance blend, our openingblending department has both sample and large production capabilities allowing us to get consistently homogenous blends.Blending_Picking

Project Management (Cut and Sew) There are times when customers are looking for “the whole package.” We can produce a fabric, have it laminated, cut and sewn, and even packaged (depending on your needs). Between our own in house capabilities and our relationships with other laminators and cut and sew houses, we would love the opportunity to find the most efficient and cost effective way to complete your project or product.
