We have primarily been working with silicone for diaper machine rollers and parts for over 30 years. With so many years of experience we can solve nearly any problems you may have with your current parts. Our silicones can be made in hardnesses ranging from 20A to 80A durometer and in a number of colors. Our silicones withstand up to 375°F (190°C). We can solve your problems in large or small runs. The E.J. Whitney Company has been fabricating new and recovering used disposable diaper machine rollers and other parts since 1980. The privacy of our customers is of utmost importance so there will be no identification of them here. Diaper rollers and parts have been the bulk of our work for twenty nine years, our experience and the evolution of our material formulas permit us to solve your specific problems. We offer complete new machine rollers or repair and recover of your worn out rollers. Our in house machine shop can make or repair your roller cores, and then recover with our covers in various hardnesses. Rollers can be covered in any of our polyurethanes, silicones, and a variety of rubbers. Rubber options include: natural gum, EPDM, hypalon, ebonite, Buna nitrile and neoprene. Roller surfaces can be made straight, tapered, grooved, vacuum feed, step ground, polished or threaded finishes. We can handle rollers from ½” to 18” diameter, up to 6’ length.

Bottle filling seal rubbers were one of the first products produced by E.J. Whitney Co. Over 30 years of production has spurred innovative new designs and manufacturing processes that have revolutionized the bottle filling industry. Bottle filling seal rubbers are custom made for use on US Bottlers Machines and many others. These seal rubbers are made from silicone for their superior temperature characteristics and high chemical resistance. Seal rubbers can be designed for slip-on or clamp-on applications with or without a vacuum breaker rib. Silicone seal rubbers maintain their seal and integrity from 0 - 375 degrees F. Polyurethane seal rubbers are also available for certain chemical packaging applications. Bell guides are custom manufactured for many machines including US Bottlers Machines. For cold fill applications a proprietary high quality mixed polyurethane is used. Hot fill applications are made with a special silicone.

The E. J. Whitney Company has been producing high quality label gripper sponges to fit Krones Inc., KHS USA, KHS AG, KHS Ancher, P.E. USA Inc. and other labelers for over ten years. E.J. Whitney Co. gripper sponges are made of non-stick silicone that collapses like a sponge by design. The non-stick silicone label applicator keeps glue from sticking to the surface for longer service intervals before clean up. Also, during clean-up the gripper sponge does not absorb water or other cleaning agents. Most clients have converted 100% of their label applicators to the E.J. Whitney Co. gripper sponges. These label applicators work very well with PET or glass packages and are proven on the fastest and slowest labeling lines. Ordering is very simple and only one phone call away. All that is needed is some basic information about the application of the gripper sponge and one new sponge for gathering the dimensions. Tooling and production of the first article will take approx. two to three weeks depending on workload.

We offer a variety of colors, in 35A to 85D durometer hardness. Our polyurethanes offer excellent physical properties and can be used for a wide variety of applications.
