A fully integrated industrial seismic switch with tri-axial digital seismic sensor (“P” & “S” waves) and minimum 8-hour reserve battery power. The monitor is shipped complete with pre-drilled base plate for easy installation. A NEMA-4 enclosure is shown below; stainless steel above. An optional stainless steel secondary enclosure provides NEMA-4X rated protection. Seismic alarm and control setpoints (trigger values) are user selectable to local requirements. Outputs peak ground acceleration (PGA) values for all three axes in real-time for retrieval via RS-232C serial connection. Internal terminal block provides simple field wiring terminations for AC power (110 Vac 60 Hz standard), Level 1 Alarm, Level 2 Alarm, Loss of AC Alarm, Seismic Trip Alarm (all alarm output contacts are FORM C, rated at 230 Vac, 6A). Options include: 230Vac 50 Hz power supply, time history recording with digital recorder module.

A completely assembled, ready to install, stand-alone seismic control panel for interface with all types brands of valve actuators. Individual controls and indicators for manipulation and monitoring of one or more valves. Local and or remote control and monitoring of system status. The digital tri-axial seismic sensor measures earthquake intensity in “g” force, and stores Peak Ground Acceleration values (PGA) in memory for future engineering analysis. Filtering devices make it immune to industrial vibrations such as heavy equipment etc. When triggered, a control relay output signal interfaces directly with actuator valve assemblies or motor starters etc. This control relay normally remains latched (for safety reasons), until reset by operator. Various custom logic schemes can be accommodated. The on-board battery charger system capacity is application specific. Up to ten (10) days 24 VDC autonomous power supply. System is SCADA ready with terminations for all functions.

A ready-to-install UL 508 robust seismic switch, complete with three Form C control relay outputs providing dry, isolated Form C contacts, battery back-up and external charger. Detects “P” & “S” waves. Sensor control setpoint (trigger level) is user-selectable to local requirements. NEC Electrical Code compliant (operator not exposed to electrical circuits for RESET or TEST). Following a seismic trip, system is either held in protective ‘latched’ position until manually reset or, programmable for momentary trip (1 to 60 seconds). For use in protected industrial and commercial environments.
