TECAPEEK Unfilled PEEK Material

TECAPEEK PEEK material (chemically known as polyetheretherketone) is manufactured by Ensinger in standard stock shapes for machining, and is extruded in sheet, rod and tube using Victrex PEEK polymer. Well known for its high temperature resistance, PEEK is a unique semi-crystalline, engineering thermoplastic that also offers excellent chemical compatibility. Parts manufactured from high temperature plastic PEEK polymer can operate at temperatures up to 260C (480F) and has a melting point around 341C (646F). PEEK plastic is often used in hot water or steam environments while maintaining physical properties such as flexural and tensile strength on a high level. Polyetheretherketone is often viewed as one of the engineering thermoplastics that tends to command a high price, however experienced users have come to realize the added value that PEEK materials bring, by offering the possibility of manufacturing parts that are lighter, stronger and able to survive longer in harsh environments.

TECATRON PPS Thermoplastic

TECATRON PPS is a high performance thermoplastic that combines good mechanical properties with excellent thermal and chemical resistance properties. There is no known solvent that dissolves TECATRON PPS at temperatures below 392F. Its low ionic impurities make it an excellent choice for applications where high purity is a concern. TECATRON GF40 is a glass reinforced material that offers extremely high strength along with excellent chemical resistance properties. TECATRON PVX is a bearing grade PPS that is suitable for high load applications.

TECAPEI Unfilled Ultem

TECAPEI is a Polyetherimide based polymer, sometimes also known as PEI material, and is an amorphous thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and rigidity.
Polyetherimide or PEI polymer is extruded by Ensinger in sheet and rod shapes, using Sabic Ultem resin. Unfilled PEI thermoplastic is translucent and amber in color, and combines exceptional mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.
Often referred to as Ultem plastic, polyetherimides are very similar in their physical characteristics to the polyarylsulphones, while simultaneously offering significant advantages. This material has a remarkably high creep resistance over a wide range of temperatures and furthermore, polyetherimides have a high permanent operating temperature. Very good resistance to hydrolysis, along with dimensional stability rounds out the portfolio of typical polyetherimide properties.

66 TECAMID-extruded Nylon

Nylon was the first engineering resin. It has been used in applications ranging from electronic, marine, and automotive industries to fibers used to make carpet. Nylon has outstanding wear resistance and low frictional properties. It has very good temperature, chemical, and impact properties. However, nylon's one weakness is a propensity to absorb moisture and thus have poor dimensional stability.
