Flexible insulation allows strength, mechanical toughness and stability to many different applications. Essex Brownell offers a wide range of different flexible insulating materials including: Nomex, CeQUIN, TufQUIN, Kraft, Fish or Rag papers, double diamond Kraft, creped Kraft and Vulcanized Fibre.All flexible insulatingmaterials are available in sheets, rolls, coils, wedges, tapes, tubes and fabricated parts. Kraft papers are available with an optional epoxy coating. These specific materials are designed for applications ranging from 90to 220C.

Essex Brownell offers a wide variety of rigid insulation materials. We offer fiberglass that is reinforced with polyester, epoxy, or phenolic resins to form various shapes. We also supply Nomex pressboards, Micarta, wood and mica insulations. All rigid insulating materials offer excellent flame, arc, and track resistance, in addition to high temperature ratings, dielectric and mechanical strength. All of our products are UL recognized and conform to NEMA standards.

Essex Brownell is your tubing and sleeving solution provider offering a complete line of standard or heat shrinkable tubing products produced of PVC, Polyolefin, Kynar and spiral wound polyester film, neoprene, Nomex, Kapton, and Teflon material.

Essex Brownell also carries a complete line of fiberglass sleeving coated with PVC, acrylic, vinyl, silicone varnish or silicone rubber material; expandable braided sleeving of flame retardant polyester PET; high temperature and flame retardant Halar; and high temperature and low burn toxicity Ryton. Sleeving productsare designed for abrasion protection of wire harnesses, hoses and cable assemblies up to 200C.

Essex Brownell's sleeving and tubing products are all UL and CSA recognized and conform to NEMA standards. They are available in various package sizes, colors and in cut to length sizes.

Essex Brownell is the source for all your motor renewal parts and equipment. We offer a complete line of bearings, brushes, capacitors, eyebolts, fan blades, heaters, klixons, mounting rings, nameplates, overloads, pulleys, pump seals, relays and controls, shaft grounding devices, switches, terminal boxes, thermistors, thermostats and much more. We have all the parts you need to build and repair electric motors.

Essex Brownell offers a wide variety of electrical and industrial tape products for all your electrical, electronic, automotive and related applications. Thermosetting and non-thermosetting adhesives of silicone, acrylic or rubber are available insuring compatibility with a variety of different backing agents. Tape backings include polyester composites, PTFE, polyimide, polypropylene, Nomex (trade), Teflon (trade), paper, vinyl, foil, glass cloth, cotton or filament reinforced materials. All of the materials we provide are UL, CSA recognized and conform to applicable military specifications.

Essex Brownell supplies a wide range of mica papers, tapes, sheets, wraps, tubes, fabricated parts, capacitor papers and more. These mica products are subject to extremely high temperatures and are great for applications such as VPI, high voltage coil and bar applications, highlow voltage equipment and traction motors.

Essex Brownell is partnered with industry leading suppliers to bring customers varnishes designed for VPI, dip and bake, trickle and roll-through applications. Whether it is solvent based or solventless, we provide polyester and epoxy varnishes and resins. Essex Brownell also offers alkyd, polyurethane and phenolic solvent based varnishes and coatings. Thinners, primers, paints and lubricant release agents are also available. Essex Brownell also provides value-added services including: Cold room storage, tank samples and small kit availability.
