Solid Wall Staked Inserts
Solid Wall Staked Inserts-Fastener DimensionsFeatures - Designed to resist pullout and torque-out, these handy inserts are designed to hold the stake securely through an innovative locking mechanism that fixes it securely to the parent material. This innovation helps to protect the installation against unwanted rotation even under challenging conditions. The self-locking threads are found either in a polymer washer which forms part of the insert or in the insert itself. Available in a wide range of materials, our locking stakes include components which are specifically designed to be self-broaching, enabling them to be used effectively to reduce or eliminate broaching in tough substances such as Inconel, WASPALLOY, alloy steels and titanium.
Applications - If you're looking for a way of improving performance and enhancing thread life in more malleable materials, including magnesium and aluminum, then staked inserts are the perfect solution. The inserts may be used for maintaining and repairing costly forgings and castings, thread repair and vehicle maintenance, as well as specific applications within military defense systems, electronics and aircraft engines.
