A client in the cell phone industry turned to G.F. Cole Corporation for touch panel adhesives, created using our high speed kiss cutting process.
Our state-of-the-art rotary press was employed to process the 3M 9495LE adhesive material to bond the lens to the phone, and maintained tolerances of .003". We ensured quality with kiss cut verification testing as well as documented dimensional CMM measuring device inspections. We are able to kiss cut custom sheets as well as continuous rolls, in specialized shapes and sizes as required by our customer. Turnaround time for kiss cutting projects is typically 1 week. A filtration industry client was in need of custom fabricated HEPA filters for one of their product lines. G.F. Cole Corporation was contracted to perform the required work, which consisted of laminating and high speed slitting. We utilized our precision single blade slitter to slit the neoprene sponge roll to .75" wide by 50' length rolls. Widths tolerances were cut to tolerances of +- .010. Various widths were required and ranged in size from 0.125" to 58", all were cut to tolerances of .010". We also provided a pressure sensitive adhesive backing to permanently laminate the sponge. Quality of the lamination was verified by adhesive bond peel testing. Dimensional inspection with calipers was also carried out and documented to assure accuracy.
We process 75, 000' of product annually for this customer, which includes cleaning and storage for JIT deliveries. A customer in the medical industry contracted G.F. Cole Corporation to fabricate a valve gasket using our precision high-speed die cutting process. We utilized our advanced high speed punch press to manufacture the gasket from silicone, maintaining a dimensional tolerance of .005" and a thickness tolerance of .002". We performed a documented caliper inspection to ensure quality, then cleaned and packaged the units for stocking. 600, 000 pieces are produced annually for this client, shipping the product from our facility with JIT deliveries.

A customer in the aircraft industry approached G.F. Cole Corporation to develop a custom extrusion laminated with pressure sensitive adhesive for aircraft jet engines. We took on the challenge of this specialty laminating and bonding project, designing and fabricating custom fixtures. The extrusion lamination was carried out using silicone and a pressure sensitive adhesive, utilizing our specialty bonding process to permanently affix the materials together, while maintaining tolerances of .010". The finished product was subjected to quality and accuracy testing including a documented dimensional inspection with calipers and an adhesive peel adhesion test, then cleaned and prepared for shipping. We process 300 rolls of this specialized product annually, with typical turnaround times of 1 to 2 weeks.
