Rail Clips

GANTREX PATENTED CLIPS
Combined with the Gantrex pads, Gantrex patented clips are at the core of the soft-mount crane rail solutions and can fit almost every rail profile available worldwide. Clips maintain rails in position via a mechanical lock and simultaneously accept the real rail movements through a soft synthetic elastomer nose, vulcanize-bonded to the clips designed to accommodate the forces applied to rails by cranes. Lateral adjustment facilitates the installation and allows for further corrections to the track geometry throughout its life.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
The latest generation of Gantrexsoft-mount clips benefit from the RailLok advantages, a patented technology applicable to a new line of crane rail clips and pads introduced in the early 2010s. This technology improves the features of the previous generation of clips by cleverly ensuring self-contact between the clip and rail, reducing installation time by introducing impact wrenches mounting, increasing the clips capacity to address ever growing crane loads and providing a narrower design allowing operational and financial savings.

Two main clip types are available for different fixing supports: welded-base or through-bolted. The choice of either type of clips depends on technical conditions and local requirements.

The mechanical performances of the stress resistant clips were certified and tested by worldwide renowned laboratories for the specialized Rail Tracks Construction.

Rail Pads

GANTREX PATENTED PADS
Combined with the GANTREX clips, GANTREX patented pads are at the core of soft-mount crane rail solutions and prove essential to reduce stresses, shocks and vibrations in rail systems. Our pad range covers all rail profiles and includes continuous and discontinuous pads. Laid between the rail and its support, the pad ensures the load distribution over a larger surface, the elimination of load concentrations and ensuing fatigue stresses, the centering of loads on the supporting element, the absorption of uneven contact surfaces between rail and support, and the reduction of wear of the rail and its support.
COVERING ALL APPLICATIONS
Our MK6 and RailLok series continuously support rails with standard delivery pads in long grooved vulcanized synthetic elastomer strips reinforced with a steel strip. Made to match the concave foot of rails manufactured to DIN 5361 and available in flat or crowned rail profiles, the large or regular steel strips adapt lateral stability depending on usage conditions. Gantrex last generation of pads is particularly well adapted to the RailLok clips, a patented technology of crane rail clips and pads. The MK4 and MK0 pads are designed to fit light rail applications on a continuous support whilst the MK2 refers to discontinuously supported runways with standard thermoplastic elastomer pads matching every intermittent support, specially shaped to prevent longitudinal slippage.

Steel

SUPPORTING RAILS ON FLAT SURFACES
The main components of runway tracks, steel supports come in various types and shapes varying with the rail-mounted equipment: soleplates and chairplates (also known as baseplates or support plates), steel sleepers and steel columns. The primary function of a steel support consists in providing rails with a flat, smooth resting surface whilst allowing for the vertical alignment of a rail system.

Whilst anchor bolts secure the steel supports, specific levelling devices adjust the vertical level. Depending on the specific industry application and moving equipment (cranes or rolling stock), steel supports are installed on top of a layer of grout or concrete that fills the void between the steel support and the concrete foundation.
CUTTING-EDGE SOLUTIONS
GANTREX has pioneered the development of the Adjustable Chair for cases when post-installation vertical and horizontal settlementsmovements of the foundation are anticipated (as with container stacking yards). This genuine Gantrex system is equipped with the latest RailLok technology and allows for simple and rapid initial installation in compliance with the strictest rail tolerances including ISO 12488-1, AIST Technical Report 13, and CMAA, as well as for post-installation vertical and horizontal adjustments to restore rail elevation and horizontal positioning to these same tolerances in the event of foundation settlement or movements.

This system is particularly suitable for stacker-reclaimer cranes and cranes with automated positioning or operating systems, such as Automated Stacking Cranes.

Tieback

TIEBACKS SURGE CONNECTORS
The connection between runway girder ends and building columns is a common area of failure on overhead crane runways. Often called tieback connection or surge connector, this joining proves subject to the fatigue stemming from flexural stresses in runway girders from crane operations.

Rubber Products

PROTECTING ALL USERS
Trench-implanted crane tracks may sometimes represent a risk for pedestrian and the wheels of some vehicles, including motorcycles and bicycles. GANTREX Trench Infill was developed to prevent pedestrians from tripping and reduces the impact on the wear and tear of wheels and tires when crossing trenches.

The recycled rubber Chamber Filler offers good sound and electrical installation in all embedded tracks of railway applications.
EASY TO INSTALL (AND REMOVE)
Ecologically aware GANTREX uses recycled rubber elements bonded with polyurethane. The elements of the solution can be manipulated and removed easily, thus guaranteeing quick and constant access to the trench.
