General Industries fabricates potable water tanks per AWWA D-100 and AWWA D-102. These tanks store potable water for a variety of uses from human consumption to industrial process applications. Carbon steel tanks may be epoxy coated, or we fabricate using 304L and 316L stainless steel to meet NSF requirements.

Boiler blowdown tanks are used to control boiler blowdown to reduce scaling. They also enable high-pressure water to safely flash to steam. Required boiler maintenance includes periodic removal of water to control the buildup of suspended solids and particulates as well as the concentration of treatment chemicals.

Nitric acid tanks are another industrial and waste water application for tanks fabricated from 316L stainless steel only. Nitric acid is a very aggressive solution and storing this solution in carbon steel is not recommended.

Propane tanks can be fabricated for above ground our underground installation. Propane tank are used to store liquefied petroleum gas for use in commercial, industrial and residential systems.

Hydropneumatic tanks are ASME vessels for storing water that is moved from the tank using air pressure. No liquid pump is required to move the water to its required location, as the air pressure in the tank forces the water out. These hydropneumatic tanks can be used as the source for small water systems. The compressed air acts as a cushion that can exert or absorb pressure as required.

Fire protection tanks are hydropneumatic water storage tanks specifically designed for use in private fire protection systems. These ASME pressure vessels are required by fire codes in many commercial, industrial and institutional buildings for use with automatic sprinkler systems for fire suppression.
