When a client from the medical industry in North Carolina contacted us to help develop and manufacture a family of premium quality wire formed ligating clips for use in traditional and endoscopic surgical procedures, we were ready, willing and able to meet their needs. Our decades of experience in the surgical clip and staple industry had given us the knowledge and capability to design and build custom coining and forming tooling, and employ advanced fabricating and finishing techniques to develop and manufacture a line of wire formed products possessing superior functionality. After coining and forming the chevron shaped clips are tumbled and vacuum heat treated to meet surface and temper requirements for unsurpassed closure capability.

Using a variety of machining processes, including drilling, staking, chamfering, and forming, we designed and built custom tooling and machinery systems to produce a series of dental positioning arms for a digital radiology equipment manufacturer based in New York. These dental arms are universally used in dental offices with either digital or conventional X-ray technology for positioning molded film retainers.

Using our custom designed and built precision miniature multi blow cold heading systems, General Wire & Stamping Co., Inc. was able to manufacture a series of custom-built premium quality hearing aid bobbins for a medical electronics customer in Switzerland. The bobbins or core as they are referred to in the industry are made from a nickel, iron, and molybdenum alloy called HyMu 80.

Using Auto Cad design software, General Wire & Stamping Co., Inc. was able to build an arched spring ejector for a medical industry client based in Connecticut. These springs are designed to be used in a surgical staple applier. Using our advanced progressive die stamping technology, we construct each piece from grade 302 stainless steel. Upholding a (+-) .002 inch precision tolerance, each product meets specific size specifications, measuring .014 inches in thickness, .75 inches in length, and .312 inches in width.

Using Auto Cad design software, General Wire & Stamping Co., Inc. was able to employ advanced technologies to design and build precision compound stamping dies to manufacture premium quality thermostat controlling wave washers for a customer in China. The component maintains the precise calibration necessary for the proper detonation of fire extinguishing material for gas pumps and industrial deep fryers. All tooling and gap gages were designed and constructed in house.
