The emitter and receiver on thru-beam sensors are aligned opposite one another. The advantage of this is that the light reaches the receiver directly and long detection ranges and high excess gain can therefore be achieved. These sensors are capable of reliably detecting almost any object. Germantown, WI –April, 2017 WAGO adds two 4-channel intrinsically safe modules approved for wiring to devices located in hazardous zones 121 and 020. With a compact design, these modules reduce the size of the control cabinet. The 750-539 module is a 4-channel intrinsically safe digital output module that is engineered to operate intrinsically safe solenoid valves. The 750-486 module is a 4-channel intrinsically safe analog input module for monitoring field devices. Each channel on this module can be individually configured for measurement ranges of 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, or 3.6 to 21 mA. Both modules offer diagnostics per channel indicating short circuits and wire breaks.
