Electric Process Heaters

Type CH circulation heaters and CHP circulation packages are compact, self contained units designed to heat flowing liquids and gases, including super heating steam. THERMAL FLUID VAPORIZERS

  • sizes 20 to 300 Kw
  • volts 208 to 600 volts
The most commonly used, vapor phase, organic heat transfer fluids are Dowtherm "A" from Dow chemical and Therminol "VP1" from Monsanto. Both of these fluids allow process heating up to 750F at a relatively low operating pressure. For example, a steam system at 750F would have an operating pressure well over 3200 psig, while Dowtherm A and VP1 produce a vapor pressure of only 138 psig. The vaporizer consists of an ASME pressure vessel, a heat source of open coil heaters contained in 3" sch. 40 pipe wells, vessel mounted safety devices and an intergral control center.
Electrically operated organic fluid vaporizers are usually custom designed, but are also available as a "Pre-Engineered" packaged system, prewired, prepiped, insulated, pressure tested, and ready for installation.

Loop Temperature Control

The EM series of heat transfer systems is designed for closed loop temperature control of common heat transfer fluids utilizing existing plant steam as the heat source. The EM is a completely packaged system and is usually designed for a maximum temperature of 350F based on 150 lb. steam supply. However, systems can be designed for higher or lower temperatures based on available steam supply.

The WG series of heat transfer systems is designed for closed loop temperature control of water or waterglycol mixtures. The WG250 is a completely packaged system designed for a maximum operating temperature of 250F. WG series standard components include an electric heater, centrifugal water circulation pump with mechanical seal, thermal expansion tank, relief valve, and a complete control center all mounted on a drip proof base.

Pump Seal Cooling System

SEAL COOLING SYSTEM
Model WC250-9-121 Seal Cooling System eliminates the need for a separate supply of cooling water to high temperature process pump cooling circuit. The package circulates a cooling fluid (waterglycol mixture) in a closed loop to the pumps seal cooling cavity.
Supplies a closed loop cooling fluid for pumps mechanical seal.
De-energizes heat transfer system pump and heater, and energizes an alarm light if coolant flow drops below 12 GPM.
Can be used with HEAT WM & RM Heat Transfer Systems.
