ACSM1 Motion control drives
ACSM1 drives are designed for demanding machinery positioning applications with synchronous or induction motors. The range covers power ratings from 0.75 to 355 kW ( 1 to 450 hp) with a wide choice of feedback options, memory units for easy drive management and safe torque off (STO).

As the worlds leading provider of large motors with global service and support and over 100 patents, Siemens sells and manufactures a complete line of large AC 3-phase induction motors at its ISO-9001 Certified Norwood, Ohio, plant. This 350, 000-square-foot facility has produced more than 150, 000 high voltage motors continuously since 1898. The Norwood plant produces horizontal AC induction motors up to 20, 000 horsepower and voltage ranges from 460 to 13, 200 volts. The plant also manufactures a complete line of large AC vertical motors up to 8, 000 horsepower.

We supplement our standard range by specific motors which perfectly meet specific sector requirements and guarantee maximum efficiency.

Siemens Severe Duty motors are available with a wide selection of application-matched modifications in a full cast iron construction design that meets or exceeds NEMA MG1 Table 12-12 (NEMA Premium) efficiency standards.
These rouged, high performance motors are also design to comply with the requirements of IEEE 841-2009 and API661 standards for the Petroleum, Petrochemical, and Natural Gas Industries. petroleum and chemical industry and API661.

For applications that require more than one base speed, Multi-Speed motors are offered with 1 winding for variable torque.
Siemens inverter duty motors are rated for continuous operation in a 40C ambient at altitudes up to 3300 feet above sea level. These rugged motors are manufactured for Severe Duty adjustable speed drive applications such as centrifugal fans, pumps, blowers, mixers, mining, foundry, pulp and paper and petrochemical.
Siemens full range of TEFC Vertical P-Base motors are the right choice for applications such as centrifugal pumps, turbine pumps, cooling towers, mixers, pulp and paper, petrochemical, irrigation, agriculture and waste water treatment.

Our rugged explosion-proof motors provide durable operation even under extreme conditions. Siemens XP100 explosion-proof motors are UL listed and CSA certified for gas and dust ignition environments and suitable for Class I, Groups C&D, Class II, Groups F&G, Division 1 hazardous area classifications. Also available for drill rig duty: Class I, Group D, Division 1 hazardous locations.

Our new family of 1LE1 motors is also one of the most compact in the world as we produce it employing innovative, state-of-the-art technologies. In order to achieve an optimum design, we use a combination of highly conductive materials in the rotor. The results include minimized rotor losses and an excellent starting and switching behavior.Further, we pay special attention to environmental compatibility and the frugal use of resources in our production environment. For instance, no solvents are used in the insulation impregnation and painting.
Design and architecture of the 1LE1 motors ensure maximum flexibility and minimum associated costs when mounting and installing: Users benefit from integrated lifting eye bolts, mounting feet that can be bolted on, reinforced bearing end shields with optimum mechanical properties and terminal boxes that are easy to access. Not only this, encoders, brakes and external fans can be easily added. Stocking is also simple due to the low variance of parts enabling motor distributors to quickly respond to customer requirements.
