UNIQUEPERENY Rotary Tube Furnaces are specifically designed for continuous, dynamic drying, decomposition, sintering, calcining and other heat treatment of powders and granules at temperatures up to 3100o F (1700o C). These furnaces are routinely operated in air or other atmospheres to process traditional and advanced materials such as ferrites, titanates, nitrides, metallics, aluminas, carbides, catalysts, reducible oxides and minerals. The Rotary Tube Furnace offers advantages over static or batch processes because material flows freely through a sloping, heated rotating tube where it is tumbled constantly, causing uniform heat treatment of every particle. Both the slope angle and the rotation speed may be varied to provided a wide range of material throughput rates. Indirect heating and multiple temperature zone control provide the means to adjust the temperature profile of the process. Electric or gas fired production and pilot scale models are available with ceramic or metal alloy tubes with atmosphere capability and various materials handling accessories

A Major U.S. Aerospace Contractor has selected HED International to supply the same UniquePereny atmosphere tight integral heat treating equipment previously supplied. Their application requires the utmost in dependable precision (+-10C) and proven efficiency (300 to 1500 lbscycle) recognized as the decided advantages of these HED process heat systems. These furnace designs incorporate automated loading and unloading, controlled heating and cooling under pressure atmosphere conditions. Delivery is scheduled to begin in early June of 2016.

The HED International Lab-Cast Model TC-71LC Tape Caster has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the small developer and is ideal for lab scale studies. Lab-Cast is simple to use yet sophisticated enough to provide a versatile research and development platform. This system allows developers to have a natural transition to HED International’s PRO-CAST Series of Tape Casting Machines, when a full-scale production system is required.

Since its introduction more than three decades ago, the UNIQUE Envelope Kiln has proved its practical usefulness in the firing of the world’s most valued ceramic articles. Available in a full range of sizes up to 120 cubic feet, this patented kiln design provides for high production in a minimum floor space. Special sizes and larger units are available as custom models. Standard models are available for 2000F for lower decorating firing, or 2350F high fire. The Envelope Kiln rolls on tracks to envelop ware placed on either of two stationary beds. This design innovation, with completely accessible fixed beds, permits rapid loading or unloading of one bed while the other is being fired.

This system features UNIQUEPERENY’s non-proprietary software specifically designed to integrate kiln control providing a high level of automation and ease of use. An industrial PC with touch screen serves as the primary operator interface to the kiln. The PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) uses discrete and analog IO modules for control of the kiln independently of the PC. TCPIP Ethernet communication serves as the network interface between the PC and PLC and provides simple integration into existing or future plant systems. The PC is also equipped with a modem for remote monitoring and trouble shooting of the kiln control system.
