The AMOS A310M Computer is a PC compatible computer system designed to be used in a maritime environment. The computer is based on Intel Pentium III processor technology. The AMOS A310M Computer is flexible, expandable and rugged. It is designed to operate in harsh maritime environments. It can function as either a server or a workstation. The AMOS A310M Computer is equipped with a 2.5" removable drive with capacities beginning at 6 GB. These drives are designed to be used in harsh environments and can withstand shock of 175 Gs operating and 700 Gs non-operating. The removable feature provides both flexibility and upgradability. Maritime Approval Maritime Classification Societies, such as Lloyds Register or Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and Germanischer Lloyd, require the use of a Maritime Approved Computer in applications that have been determined to be critical to the operation of a ship. This includes navigation, fire control, engine control, ballast control, cargo control and other mission critical applications. Voyage Data Recorders also require the use of a Maritime Approved Computer. The AMOS A310M has been designated an Approved Maritime Computer by all major Maritime Classification Societies. To be designated a Maritime Computer the Classification Societies have established rigorous testing criteria. The computer is subject to extreme variations in heat, humidity, shock and vibration. The AMOS A310M has passed all of these tests. The AMOS A310M has also achieved IEC-945 certification. IEC-945 certification requires very stringent adherence to EMC, radiation and immunity standards. No computer without IEC-945 approval may be used in conjunction with navigation equipment or in any location near such equipment. The A310M Maritime Computer was designed with focus on the safety and reliability required for operation for critical applications on ships and offshore installations.

The industrial rackmount computers with integrated monitors are built around a SVGA Sony Trinitron Color or Black and White (B&W) monitor capable of resolutions of up to 1024x768. This series of rackmount chassis gives you the flexibility to shockmount multiple drive devices in a single chassis. Hi-Tec offers 4 different models from 8-14 slots, with dual colling fans. This chassis gives you the ability to choose the model that best suits your application. Manufactured from 0.080" aluminum or steel with a 0.25" thick front panel assembly and a 0.125" back panel, the unit is electrostatically-coated in textured black or PC beige power coat that makes the Rackmount Integrated Monitor Chasssis as rugged as it looks.. Air is drawn into the chassis through the front assembly by two 56CFM DC powered fans, then, depending on the model chosen, the pressurized air is circulated by up to 4 additional 56CFM fans. This method of cooling protects the unit from harmful dirt and dust and gives internal components such as CPU's disks, IO cards and memory the degree of cooling required for prolonged life. A 250-400 Watt low profile power supply option gives the unit ample power for system components. DC power supply options are available.
