The DPT Drum Puller Tensioners feature advanced design hydrostatic power systems for optimum performance. Highly effiicient power systems translate engine power into line pull cpability while providing precision control response. Line Pull Limiting feature quickly stops the puller if a traveler jams or the tensioner is suddenly stopped. A quick change reel feature is available on models through the DPT-240. Conductor reels or split reels can be loaded easily into these machines. DPT-300 through DPT-480 are fixed drum designs.

The UGP series underground cable pullers are hydraulic powered using twin planetary gear boxes driving multi-grooved bull wheels. The unique design of these machines enable use of both wire and synthetic ropes. The heavy duty hydraulic powered storage drum leveling system eliminates jamming or damage from defective wire ropes. The larger 12" diameter multi-groove wheels lowers bending stresses that occur with smaller diameter wheels. High capacity storage drums enable very long pulls when required.

Single reel trailers with payload capacities ranging from 6000 to 22, 000 lb. Available features include: ventilated tensioning brakes, hydraulic power systems and powered hydraulic reel loading. Power drives are available on all Reel Jacks.

Both disc brake and hydraulic pressure relief valve controlled bull wheel equipment can used for tensioning conductors in most applications. Reduction drive brake systems used on both types of equipment allow finer adjustment and smoother tensioning than with machines that have brakes directly attached to the bull wheels. Hydraulic pressure relief valve models have additional labor saving features available such as pull back and power reeving capabilities. Hydraulic tensioning models are available 50", 54" and 61" bull wheel diameters. The HBT-50 and larger are recommended for tensioning of OPGW fiber optic cables. All bull wheel have extremely durable EPDM bolt on segmented rubber linings and large diameter nylon 66 fair lead rollers for many years of trouble free service.

Four drum rope pulling machines provide an efficient means for pulling 3 conductor phases and the neutral on distribution power line construction. All four pulling ropes are placed in the travelers at the same time eliminating multiple trips down a right of way. Each conductor phase and the neutral is then pulled in individually in the sequence selected. High efficiency hydraulic power systems deliver maximum pulling performance along with Line Pull Limiting to prevent damage if a jam or emergency stop occurs. These extra long rope capacity of the larger models enable them to be used as pilot line machines on transmission power line construction.

This equipment type uses multiple hydrostatic power systems with "mooring control" to enable these machines to be used as either the puller or as the tensioner controlling 1 to 4 conductors. One operator controls all operations from a central console both the conductor reel system and main bull wheels system. These systems are extremely simple to operate with nearly hand off operation after presets of controls.

The 4SDP Model four drum rope pullers have several unique features. The extra wide drum with smaller diameters keeps line speed and pulling forces more constant from start to finish of the pull. The swiveling drums establishes the correct "fleet angle" allowing the ropes to spool evenly with out constant operator attention. Less wear of ropes occur since they do not pass over small diameter fair lead rollers. This feature along with four individual motor drive enable all ropes to be pulled at full tension simultaneously at reduced speed. The heavy duty 3TPL-8 is available with quick change drum feature to quickly convert machine from a wire rope puller drums to asynthetic rope puller.

2BWPT Bundle Puller-Tensioners use hydrostatic power systems for smooth controlled pulling and tensioning. Twin auxillary hydrostatic power systems provide power and control for two external reel jacks or trailers. Two matching units, one used as the puller and one as the tensioner make re-conductoring on existing bundle transmission lines much simpler than other methods.
