HydroTec Systems Company introduces another product in our Mobile Soft Water line, a portable iron filter that uses no chemical. The Model MIF0618-0.2-PX unit is six inches in diameter by 22 inches over all in height and weighs about 31 pounds without water. We have tested this unit on water having more than 5 ppm iron and manganese. The unit ran for 4-12 hours at 0.7 gpm treating more than 180 gallons.

MSW0918-MDOC-10S-F Manual Regenerated Softener with brine storage tank, including Brine Reclaim and the softener is designed of safe lead-free materials.

HydroTec's F-Style manually regenerated softener with salt storage, having a 10.0 Kilo-grain (10, 000 grains capacity) Point-Of-Entry (POE) Mobile-Soft-WaterTM Conditioner 0.4 Cubic Foot Size. Conditions water of Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Lead, Radium and other Heavy Metals found in well and some municipal water. The MSW0918-MDOC-10S-F: requires 20-34-inch-wide, by 14-38-inch-deep by 26-14-inch-tall installation space. The connections are PVC threaded Male NPT in out connections. The tank will be loaded with 0.4 cubic foot of highly charged high capacity water softening resin. This unit is capable of treating up to 5 gallons per minute of supply water with a 10 grain Total Hardness load to 0 soft conditions on a continuous base up to 1000 gallons of conditioned water. We are supplying all new equipment and components with a one year limited warranty on materials.

The filtration media selected by HydroTec as an Iron removal agent is a black filter media that has the capabilities of removing soluble iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg smell), arsenic and radium from water supplies. At the end of a service cycle (determined by the number of gallons treated), the unit is backwashed and then regenerated downflow (in a manner similar to sodium cycle softening) with a solution of the oxidant selected. This will restore the oxidative capacity of this media. Depending on raw water conditions, the regeneration level should be 2-4 ouncescubic foot (2.12 - 4.24 grsL) of this iron removal media. It is recommended that regeneration be initiated prior to complete exhaustion of the filter. This is important to extend the service life.
