  • Asphalt Saturation: 50% +/- 10%

Damping Sheets Industrial Soundamp E vibration damping sheet is a self-adhesive pad used for sound and vibration damping on metal panels. The adhesive side is smooth, giving complete contact with the underlying surface without air pockets or channels. Soundamp E is odorless, wear-resistant and impregnated to prevent the absorption of water. Both pad material and adhesive can withstand temperatures between -22°F and 248° F and are highly resistant to aging. To apply: Soundamp E should be cut to the desired size and shape before the backing paper is removed. It may be cut with scissors, knife, or die. Remove dust, grease, moisture and other foreign mater from the application surface. Peel off the backing paper. The simplest application technique is to bend the pad slightly and attach it along its shortest edge. The pad is then pressed firmly into place, preferably with a roller for larger pieces. This reduces the risk of leaving air pockets, which reduce the sound damping capacity. The temperature of the pad and application surface should not be below room temperature during fitting. Applications: Buses and railroad cars, ships and boats, generator enclosures, off-highway equipment, relay cabinets, bins, chutes, hoppers, and machine guards. PDF Spec Sheets: Damping Sheets

Barrier septum Composite

  • Maximum noise reduction by combining sound absorber and noise barrier Available in curtain panels, bound or unbound rolls, custom fabrications or die-cut pieces
  • Sound Absorption Rating to NRC-1.05 Flexible composites conform to any shape
  • Transmission Loss Rating to STC-32 Fire safe and low smoke emissions per ASTM E-84, Class 1
  • Offered in two styles with a variety of combinations ABA products utilize a flexible 1 lb. PSF non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier septum (1BNR).
  • Acoustical liners, jackets, wraps and panels Also available with a 2lb. PSF or ½ lb. PSF barrier

The ABA "Barrier septum Composite" is a non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass. A variety of facings are available including our standard industrial grade vinyl facing, an economy scrim facing and a silicone facing for high temperature or outdoor applications. Curtain panels are typically constructed with grommets across the top and mating hook and loop closures on the vertical edges. Rolls measuring 4' x 25' are available with edges bound or unbound. All products have a Class A flammability rating (per ASTM E-84 ). Use as a divider wall when separating two noisy areas that require absorption. Use to line the perimeter of a building Use anywhere a decouplerbarrierabsorber is required. Vinyl facings are available in white, tan, black, or gray Diamond patterns or straight stitch patterns are available. PDF Spec Sheets ABA-111S - ABA-111 - ABA-112 - ABA-121 "ABA" composite features a non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier septum (middle) with a quilted fiberglass sound absorber on BOTH sides. Ideally suited as an acoustical liner, the inner layer of quilted fiberglass decouples the barrier form the surface to improve its noise blocking ability while the outer layer adds sound absorption to the treated environment. Composites offer maximum noise reduction on any application by combining sound absorption and noise barrier materials. These composites are available in a barrier backed or barrier septum configuration utilizing a variety of quilted fiberglass absorbers and flexible noise barriers. Sound AbsorptionNoise Barrier Composites are supplied as roll goods, finished panels, enclosure systems, acoustical jackets and die-cut pieces.

Duct Lagging

  • Nominal Thickness: .090"
  • Standard Roll: 48"W x 30'L
  • Weight: 1.0 lb. psf
  • Temperature Range: -10° to +180° F
  • Flammability: UL 94 meets VO FMVSS 302: Pass

Duct Lagging is typically used to wrap noisy pipes and ducts, and thus help to block the noise contents moving through he pipes. From air flow to liquid content, duct lagging helps to increase sound absorption in the cavity and provides thermal insulation as well. Types of duct lagging that include a foil-faced reinforced exterior will readily accept a matching lag tape for easy installation. The foil-face also serves as a protective jacket for indoor or outdoor applications. The 2# per sq. foot barrier and the 2" thick quilted quilted fiberglass absorber improves overall acoustical performance, especially at low frequencies.

Acoustic Rolls

Quilted Fiberglass Absorbers reduce the reflection of sound waves by adding soft, porous, open-celled materials to any environment. IES - 2000s Quilted Fiberglass products consists of various configurations of facing and fiberglass thicknesses to provide solutions to a plethora of applications. Wall panels and overhead baffles are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top. Rolls are available 4 wide x 25 long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound. Applications: Typically used when you are trying to reduce the reflection of sound waves or reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, a room, or a building. Also used to supplement plywood structures on job sites to improve the transmission loss of the wood as well as to reduce reflected noise on the construction side.
