Industrial Fabricators, Inc. has the flexibility and process ingenuity to cost effectively manufacture specialty bus bar assemblies for a wide range of applications. We produced the copper bus bar shown here for use in a power and control system application. Constructed from 0.187 in. thick ASTM B187 copper alloy, we formed the components on CNC controlled Boschert CU-Profi, a high speed punch press specifically designed for efficient production of bus bars. Further processing on our Amada HDS8025NT press brake ensured consistent bend angle accuracy over the entire run of 50 units. Automated hardware insertion and pneumatic deburring completed the process. When finished, the bus bars measured 6.048 in. in length x 4.312 in. in width x 1.00 in. in depth. Dimensional inspection validated that we met the customer’s ±0.015 in. tolerance requirement. Having the right blend of manpower, skills, and equipment enabled us to complete this project in only two weeks. As a full service manufacturer, Industrial Fabricators Inc. has the capacity to take a customer drawing and quickly deliver a product that is fully fabricated, finished, assembled, packaged, and ready for use. Used to mount an electronic eye, we fabricated the bracket shown here from 0.120 in. thick hot rolled pickled and oiled steel sheet. Primary processes included laser cutting and press brake forming as well as tapping the internal threads, welding the components together, and grinding to a uniform dimension. Prior to powder coating, we masked off the threads and executed a 7-stage cleaning process to ensure optimal bonding of the safety yellow finish. Measuring 22.50 in. in length, the bracket was dimensionally inspected to confirm we met the Â± 0.3 mm tolerance requirement. Intelligent planning and diligent monitoring the multi-stage manufacturing cycle ensured we met the 3 week delivery deadline.

Fabricating and finishing the display stand pictured here capitalized on the expertise of a number of process specialists. Materials of construction included hot rolled pickled and oiled steel sheet and round tubing. In addition to laser cutting and roll forming the sheet to various thicknesses, we applied bending, sawing, and grinding processes to form the exact geometry and profiles. Once welded, the workpiece was cleaned and masked prior to application of the specialized metallic silver powder coating that gave this 86 in. high display stand its durable and visually appealing Class A finish. Our flexibility and process agility enabled us to produce five completely finished units on specification, on time, on budget, and ready for use on the retail floor.
