Manufacturer / Exporter / Supplier Of ISI DMARS R Inertial Navigation System, DMARS-I, DMARS GARS, ISIS Inertial Measurement Unit
ISIS-IMU is a six-degree of freedom inertial measurement unit. ISIS achieves unparalleled priceperformance and inherent ruggedness. It is well suited for medium accuracy and high dynamic environments, where small size (3.30" x 2.5 " x 1.83"), lightweight (nominal weight is less than 250 gram), and low power consumption (less than 4W @ 5V DC) demanded. (E.g. smart weaponry, GPS integration, etc.).
DMARSGARS is calibrated to ±0.5 mil radian for all 3 axis of gyros and 3 axis of accelerometers. Reference the base plate and base line indicated on the foot print drawing. DMARSGARS or any other inertial system should be handled with extreme caution. Shock should not exceed 16g 11 msec ½ sine. Storage temperature should not exceed 100 deg C. Sensor data are digitized continuously and accumulated for 0.00125 sec (800 Hz). Processing navigation equation 200 times per second and report every 100 data frames per second. Other schemes are available upon request.
The DMARS-I platform, jointly designed by Inertial Science, Inc. and Sandia National Laboratories, is a full-featured low-cost inertial navigation system which is specially designed to function in various missile and rocket applications. DMARS-I is our third generation navigation system and evolved from our RIINS (Roll Isolated Inertial Navigation System) and DMARS (Digital Miniature Attitude Reference System). The DMARS-R has been successfully flown in various launch systems as SPINRAC, MAXUS, POIVRE, CHOPS, ET & CE, HERA, TMTS, KSR-II, and RED CROW conducted by Sandia National Laboratories with ISI's DMARS-I. The improvements are in size, power consumption, performance, maintainability, reliability, and most importantly in ownership cost (much lower than DMARS-R). Designing the DMARS-I in a smaller size, without compromising the performance will reduce material and production cost.
The ISI DMARS-R is a complete Inertial Navigation and Flight control System that supplies 3 axes of attitude (heading, pitch and roll), quaternions, 3 axes of angular rate and acceleration, and flight control signals including actuator commend and flight mission signals. It is designed with a single gimbal so that it can be used on vehicles with high roll (spin) rates to 22 RPS, or the gimbal can be locked for full strapdown operation. The gimbal is also used for self-calibration of the system. When the gimbal is unlocked, the system operates with 2 axes in a strapdown mode and 1 axis in a gimballed mode. When the gimbal is locked, all 3 axes are in a strapdown mode. The gimbal lock is either controlled by the DMARS-R microprocessor or can be initiated by an external input
