Tri-Covers are high purity foam caps designed to block and protect stainless steel sanitary ends. Tri-Covers are designed to fit industry standard stainless steel ends of flex hoses, transfer panels, gas lines and other ferrules.

Tri-Covers are designed to securely lock in place over stainless steel ends to eliminate the threat of lodging inside fittings or lines. Removal of Tri-Covers is easy with their flexible nature and molded pull-tabs.

Tri-Covers are made from high purity, inert and UV stable cross-linked polyethylene foams. The foam material is FDA approved and is USP Class VI grade.

Nitrogen is the only blowing agent used when the foam is made. No greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide or ozone depleting materials, such as CFCs or HCFCs, are introduced in the process. The foam material is entirely closed cell and does not absorb water or moisture, and will not grow bacteria or mold.

Tri-Covers have excellent chemical tolerance and can be cleaned with acid, alkaline or alcohol based cleaners. They are reusable and come in several different colors.

CHEMWARE PFA containers provide unparalleled inertness. Available in seven styles, they are ideal for a wide range of demanding fluid handling and storage applications in general laboratory, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical and environmental industries.

Anti-Static Chemfluor PFA Lined EPDM Rubber Hose
Fluoropolymer liners offer good corrosion resistance and insulating properties. If one transfers materials that have the potential to generate static electricity and the electrons flowing across the surface don't interact (positive and negative electrons flowing back and forth) a charge will build up on the inner surface of the tube. If the charge exceeds the dielectric strength of the material, dielectric breakdown or arcing can occur. This arcing electric charge can pierce the tube, causing a leak or possibly an explosion.

Electrostatic build-up within a hose may be influenced by:

The material being conveyed
Velocity of that transferred material
Filtration (particularly with paper or glass fiber elements) or turbulence generating members in the flow stream
To some extent, humidity and to a lesser extent, temperature

PureFit TC - Tube Clamp System

The Pure-FitTC ultimate tube clamp system is a new generation of clamping systems for the pharmaceutical industry. It's outer body has no sharp edges, eliminating the potential of snags, scratches, or punctures. This clamp system has a press down locking system and side release mechanism which provides secure and single handed operation and installation. Because of this unique locking feature, the Pure-Fit TC is fully encapsulated to guard against untimely or unwanted releases.

The new design features an integral bore hole for absolute lockout capabilities. Lock Out Clamps

L.J. Star Incorporated now offers 2 varying styles of the Safety Clamp--the Shrouded Safety Clamp and the Lock-Out Safety Clamp. Both variations are designed to further increase the safety of hazardous high temperature piping lines often associated with steam and CIPSIP cleaning processes.
The Shrouded Safety Clamp benefits from the added safety feature of a domed nut replacing the wing-nut. The domed nut guarantees the clamp cannot be loosened by hand. Coupled with the added security of the free rotating nut shroud, the clamp can only be released using the correct socket adapter.

The Lock-Out Safety Clamp is an advanced version of the Shrouded Safety Clamp with the wing-nut again being replaced with a shrouded domed nut. However, the shroud is extended in length and modified to accept a number code or key operated padlock. The Lock-Out safety clamp ensures the processpiping line can only be accessed by a designated operator who had the padlock's key or combination number.

It is extremely important to use a safety clamp for pipe connections and sight glass mounting since steam presents both high temperature and high pressure.

The Safety Clamp's 'gate' style section combined with its stepped eyebolt assures that the bolting mechanism cannot swing open while the clamping union is part or fully assembled. Releasing the safety clamp is only possible when the wing-nut has been significantly loosened to enable the smaller diameter of the eyebolt to swing through the sectioned gate. This ensures that the clamp cannot be knocked or accidentally opened.

Terracon is proud to introduce the TerraMark permanent identification system for plastic products, the first of its kind in the pharmaceutical industry. TerraMark is a proprietary process of permanently applying chemical-resistant color-coded labels to plastic tanks and components, allowing permanent identification and tracking information to be affixed. Color-coding provided quick visual reference to prevent cross-contamination errors at every handling stage.

Current methods of identifying plastic components include taping labels on, scratching numbers or letters into the tank or spray painting through stencils. All of these methods have their drawbacks. The composition of plastic does not lend itself well to permanent adhesion of labels. Color applied to scratched-in areas fades over time with handling and washing of the plastic component and may not be legible. Stenciling may not stand up to product spills, splashes or repeated cleaning. Existing mold-in labels require minimum quantities and do not offer the flexibility of TerraMark.
