Acetal (Polyoxymethylene or POM) provided by Interstate Plastics is a tough, machinable thermoplastic with a high modulus of elasticity, high strength, good rigidity, dimensional stability, and resistances to moisture, chemicals and solvents. It has desirable toughness properties, performing well at extreme temperatures and under fatigue endurance. A low coefficient of friction (COF) alongside excellent wear properties, especially in wet or moist environments, makes acetal one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics on the market today.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic is ideal for when excellent rigidity, hardness and heat resistance are required. This thermoplastic is produced in varying grades for a wide range of features and applications. ABS plastic can be processed by any of the standard thermoplastic processing methods and is easily machined. Tough and Rigid ABS plastic is known for its toughness, rigid thermoplasticity and strength. ABS is easily machined and ideal for turning, drilling, milling, sawing, die-cutting and shearing. ABS can be cut with standard at-home power tools, and line bent with standard heat strips.

Delrin® is a tough, machinable thermoplastic with a high modulus of elasticity, high strength, good rigidity, dimensional stability, and resistances to moisture, chemicals and solvents. It has desirable toughness properties, performing well at extreme temperatures and under fatigue endurance. A low coefficient of friction (COF) alongside excellent wear properties, especially in wet or moist environments, makes Delrin® one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics on the market today. Low Moisture Absorption Acetal plastics are ideal when working in wet environments as they absorb minimal amounts of moisture and, with a high level of heat resistance, can be heated or cooled without affecting form or dimensionality. Delrin® can be used in hot water applications up to 140⁰F without any hydrolysis effect. Unlike other materials that may erode form acidic water, hard water does not harm Delrin®.

Clear polycarbonate sheets, known by the trademarked names Lexan, Makrolon, Makroclear and others, are a particular group of thermoplastic polymers. Polycarbonate is a very durable material. Although it has high impact-resistance, it has low scratch-resistance, so a hard coating can be applied for added protection. Polycarbonate characteristics are quite like those of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, ACRYLIC), but polycarbonate is stronger and usable in a wider temperature range.
