Oleophobic Coating

JNS Glass & Coatings oleophobic topcoats will bond to both uncoated glass and antireflection coatings on the glass surface. The oleophobic coating improves the overall physical performance of an AR coating with the ability to resist fingerprints, water, oil, and chemicals. Its non-stick surface acts as a barrier to impurities, virtually eliminating the adverse effects of surface contamination. The oleophobic top coating can be applied either directly to the bare surface of uncoated glass or directly to the AR coated surface, allowing the AR coating to maintain its low level of reflectivity. The oleophobic coating provided by JNS Glass & Coatings is a more rugged and durable protection solution than the industry standard for oleophobic coatings typically used with an AR coating. The reflectance, transmittance, oleophobic and hydrophobic and severe abrasion resistance performance is superior and able to maintain its CWA performance for >12, 000 cycles of severe steel wool abrasion testing, over twice that of most alternates.
Invisible to Naked Eye: When applied to AR coated surface, the AR coating maintains < 0.5% photopic reflection
Resistant to Severe Abrasion and Scratches: Low coefficient of friction makes it rugged and durable, protecting the surface from scratches even in harsh or frequent use environments.
Easy-to-Clean: Non-stick surface resists picking up dust and dirt contamination from the surrounding environment and is easy to clean and maintain.
Fingerprint & Smudge Resistant: Oil resistant (Oleophobic) coating reduces adherence of finger-prints and smudges to help maintain pristine image quality even after repeated cleaning.
Versatile: JNS Oleophobic coating be applied to sodalime, borosilicate, Gorilla Glass, fused silica and other substrates ranging in thickness from 0.2mm to 5.00 and sizes up to 88 x 126 in size

Bandpass

Bandpass filters transmit a specific portion of the spectrum while blocking shorter and longer wavelengths. The resulting increase in signal-to-noise ratio improves contrast and insures control of changes that may occur in ambient lighting conditions. Broad bandwidth, angular insensitivity and rugged designs allow our bandpass filters to be used with very wide angle lenses regardless of the varying spectral output of LED and laser diode lighting.Enhanced contrast for viewing of desired features
Designed for compatibility with all commonly used LED and laser diode wavelengths and UV excited fluorescence emissions
Shields systems from unwanted ambient light
Limits the loss of resolution associated with chromatic aberrations
Aids in increased LED light stability and longevity by facilitating operation at reduced power levels
Essential for successful imaging in the UV and Near-IR. Visible light must be blocked to maximize contrast in these situations.

Sodalime Glass

Soda-lime glass is the most prevalent type of glass. Soda-lime is also known as float, clear, soda-lime silica. Soda-lime glass is prepared by melting the raw materials, such as soda, lime, silica, alumina, and small quantities of fining agents in a glass furnace at temperatures locally up to 1675C. Soda-lime sheet glass is made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin. This method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Soda-lime glass is the base material for most clear, colored and patterned glass types.
Soda-lime glass can be chemically tempered by JNS to increase mechanical strength and scratch resistance
Soda-lime glass can be heat strengthened or heat tempered by JNS to increase thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength
Soda-lime glass can be bent, laminated, machined, optically coated, chemically etched, sandblasted or colored
Soda-lime glass has good flatness and surface quality due to float process
JNS Glass & Coatings fabricated glass meets ASTM C 1036 standards
JNS Glass & Coatings heat strengthened and fully tempered glass meets ASTM C 1048 standards
For industrial application, JNS utilizes a wide range of manufacturers including Glaverbel, Pilkington, PPG, AGC, and Guardian

Non-Glare Etched Glass

JNS Glass and Coatings Non-Glare glass is manufactured by acid etching one or two surfaces of the glass, yielding uniform evenly diffused surfaces for high resolution applications. Non-glare glass disperses reflected light, allowing the user to focus on the transmitted image. Non-glare glass is available in several quality and etching levels: from picture frame quality to display quality, and from 60 to 140 gloss units. A lower gloss reading denotes a more diffuse panel.

The use of a textured surface in front of a display allows suppressing inconvenient reflections of the display. It gives furthermore a paper-like feeling when using a pen and meets all quality requirements such as good resolution, contrast and flickering (sparkling) of the image. AR coatings can be applied to non-glare glass for additional control of reflection.Low reflection, High Resolution, Superior Durability and Anti-Newton Ring
Low-Sparkle grade available for aviation display, military and other high tech display applications -85 or 100 gloss is standard but other gloss ratings available upon request
Can be heat tempered, laminated or chemical strengthened
Does not become highly reflective as a result of oily fingerprints like anti-reflective coated glass or untreated surfaces
For quality assurance, gloss values measured by BYK Gardner Glossmaster model 4501
Available gloss range from 60 to 150
Custom thickness, sizes and gloss ranges from 60 to 150 are available upon request.
Can be etched on one or both surfaces
