Installation can be conducted without road closures and often only requires 1-3 people. This family of beacons works together to match the needs of a wide range of road types. Most two lane roads only require a pair of pole top beacons. Larger, 4 lane roads can be managed with a third median pole top beacon or with overhead mast arm beacons. And single pole top beacons are an excellent match for one-way roads. Additional beacons can also be installed in advance of the crossing when visibility is obscured or traffic speeds are high.

RRFB (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon)

The units within an RRFB crosswalk system communicate with spread spectrum radio. What this means is there is no trenching or digging up the road.
