Our Walnut Dowel Rods are made of American Black Walnut which is of medium density and works easily with hand and machine tools and stains and paints well. Our Walnut dowels are used in fine furniture, cabinetry and architectural mill work. All our Walnut dowels are produced from lumber that has been steamed for a uniform dark appearance.

The light color, strength, good machining properties, ease of use as well as a reasonable price make our white birch dowel rods a great dowel for any wood working project be it furniture, crafts toys, or general millwork. White Birch stains and finishes easily due to its closed pore nature. Birch Dowel Rods are available in lengths of 36” and 48”, and diameters from 18” to 1-18”. Diameters larger than 1-18” are manufactured from Northern Hardwoods (Birch, Maple, or Ash)

Standard Fractional Sized Wooden Dowel Pins are available in diameters from 14” to 58”, in a variety of stock lengths. Most sizes are available in your choice of Spiral Groove or Fluted (Multi-Groove) styles. If you don’t see the size you use, please let us know your requirements, we’ll be happy to quote.
