KINETICS QuakeLoc Connector

  • QuakeKit-P/D-2 1/8 in
  • QuakeKit-P/D-3 3/16 in
  • QuakeKit-P/D-4 1/4 in
eismic cable restraint systems. Sure to be a contractor favorite, the QuakeLoc connector quickly and easily fastens cables used in the seismic restraint of piping, duct, electrical cable trays, and suspended equipment. QuakeLoc is proudly made in the USA.

Seismic Cable Restraint Systems carry tension only loads along the axis of the cable. They are used in pairs 180-degrees apart to restrain pipe, duct, electrical distribution systems or equipment in each axis. Cable restraints provide a load path between the building and the restrained component to ensure that it moves with the building. Bracing is required on both primary axes for all restrained systems. Spacing is determined by the building code and specifying engineer. Cable restraints are required for isolated systems as rigid restraints such as strut will short circuit the isolation.

Kinetics QuakeLoc connector is available for purchase as part of Kinetics QuakeKit-P (Pipe), QuakeKit-D (Duct), and QuakeBulk seismic cable restraint systems. Kinetics QuakeKits are competitively priced and offer substantial labor savings when compared to competitors systems. Each kit includes the necessary hardware to connect to suspended components. Hardware to attach QuakeKit systems to concrete, steel or wood structures is also available.

Model CIB-H Inertia Base Frame

Kinetics model cib-h inertia base frames are specifically designed and engineered to receive poured concrete, and support mechanical equipment requiring a reinforced concrete inertia base.

Inertia bases are used to support mechanical equipment, reduce vibration amplitude, provide for attachment of vibration isolators, prevent differential movement between driving and driven members, reduce rocking by lowering equipment center of gravity, reduce motion of equipment during start-up and shut-down, act to reduce reaction movement due to operating loads on equipment, and act as a partial noise barrier.

Typically, kinetics model cib-h inertia base frames are used with poured concrete, and supported by kinetics noise and vibration isolators for reciprocating air and refrigeration compressors, chillers, heat pumps, close-coupled pumps, base-mounted pumps, centrifugal fans, internal combustion engines and similar types of equipment.

Cib-h inertia base frames are specified for projects requiring base sizes not covered by cib-l inertia base frames.

Applique Acoustical Cloud Panels

  • 1 in. or 2 in. thick 3 PCF fiberglass core 1-1/2 in. or 2-1/2 in. extruded aluminum frame
  • Encased in standard in-stock fabric from Guilford of Maine or factory-approved, customer-selected ma Open Office Environments
  • Band Rooms Multi-Purpose Rooms
  • Restaurants Large rooms with high ceilings
Applique cloud panels reduce reverberant (reflected) noise at the ceiling level. When wall space is limited or ceiling heights are too low for traditional vertically hung baffles, cloud panels can be installed to improve acoustics without sprinkler or lighting interference. Cloud panels are suspended from the ceiling with wire rope or chain attached to suspension clips on the rigid aluminum frame.

They are typically used in band rooms, open office environments, multi-purpose rooms, restaurants, or other large spaces with high ceilings.

A 1 in. Or 2 in. Fiberglass core acts as an absorber and is contained within an extruded aluminum frame. The spline and groove system in the panel frame allows for fabric facing changes.

Description
ceiling suspended acoustical panel with a rigid aluminum frame and changeable fabric. Also available for wall mounting. See applique panel in wall treatments.

Spring Lift Slab Concrete Floating Floor System LSM

  • Fabricated, non-cast isolator housings permit flexible product and system design that maximizes appl Spring isolator natural frequencies (fn) of 3.13 Hz for 1" rated deflection springs and 2.21 Hz for 2" rated deflection springs. Other rated deflection springs available.
  • In-field acoustical testing yielded results of FIIC 72, FSTC 61 for a vented (non-vented floors can Spring/neoprene cup combination improves performance against low-frequency noise.
  • Proven effective for vibration isolation applications ranging from floors for sensitive lab measurin Factory installation and/or supervision available.
Lift slab floating floor systems that incorporate spring isolator assemblies to decouple concrete slabs from non-isolated structural floors are used where vibration and impact are critical and of greater concern than airborne noise transmission. In instances when vibration andor impact noise control are severe, the air space beneath the spring-isolated floor is vented. This enables the composite construction to yield the lowest natural frequency (fn) possible thereby enhancing performance against lower disturbing frequencies. If additional control of airborne noise is needed for a vented floating floor, the floorceiling composite will require partitions on the floating floor at the perimeter andor an isolated ceiling.

Representative examples of projects that can justify the use of spring lift slab isolators are bowling alleys, weight rooms, gymnasiums, aerobic activities, and dance studios. Spring isolators also are incorporated into lift slab floors supporting sensitive measuring equipment in order to mitigate vibrations that could compromise performance. While the bulk of isolated slabs can be supported using fiberglass or neoprene pads, most often in formwork systems, spring-isolated lift slabs are needed for the most critical vibration and impact noise isolation requirements.

Fiberglass Pad Isolation Hanger AF

  • Permanently resilient fiberglass isolator pad Constant natural frequency in wide load range
  • Load capacities 20 lbs. to 200 lbs. (9 kg to 91 kg) 500% overload fail-safe assembly
  • AF-100 load range, 20-100 pounds (9-46 kg) AF-200 load range, 50-200 pounds (23-91 kg)
Af fiberglass hangers are specifically designed as a noise stop isolator for use in wire-supported, suspended ceiling systems. These hangers are a combination of uniquely permanent, inorganic kinetics fiberglass and a zinc-plated metal assembly. This creates a combination that is essentially non-corrosive in all natural environments. The incorporation of galvanized no. 12 gauge wire adapts the af hanger directly into the standard tie wire system used by ceiling installation trades.

Kinetics

  • Inorganic fiberglass media Controlled viscous damping
  • Flexible elastomeric coating Load capacities 40 lbs. to 900 lbs. (18kg-409kg)
  • Constant natural frequency over a wide load range Rated static deflection 0.18 in. to 0.70 in. (4mm-18mm)
  • Predictable dynamic response Steel load transfer plate
  • High energy dissipation Steel bolt and hold-down support bracket
Kinetics Model AC Fiberglass Isolators can be used for any application requiring isolation of audible frequency vibration or noise, or for vibration isolation of mechanical equipment with lowest operating speeds of 1750 RPM when mounted on a grade supported slab or pier.

Model AC isolators are typically used when the predictable dynamic response and permanent load support characteristics of fiberglass are desired in conjunction with a bolt-down and vertical lift control feature.

Typical uses of Model AC isolators include the support and isolation of utility ventilating fans, vane axial fans, motors, roof-mounted exhaust fans, and similar mechanical equipment.

Special application of Model AC isolators have included use as both an isolator and wind lift holddown support for isolated precast concrete roof systems used to reduce transmitted noise from fly-over aircraft.

Use Model AC mounts when Kinetics fiberglass isolators are recommended and it is desirable to bolt equipment to supporting structures.Model AC Fiberglass Isolators consist of a molded inorganic fiberglass isolation pad bonded to a steel load transfer plate and to a formed steel bolt-down bracket and include an equipment anchor bolt with a neoprene grommet to prevent metal-to-metal contact. Fiberglass pads are fine (0.00027 in. 6.8 microns diameter) bonded annealed glass fibers which are stabilized by pre-compressing the material during manufacture and then coated with a flexible moisture-impervious elastomeric membrane. Fiberglass is unique in that the natural frequency is constant over a wide operating load range and the stiffness increases proportionately with load applied. Model AC Fiberglass Isolators are available in sizes with capacities from 40 to 900 lbs. (18 kg-409 kg) and deflections of 0.18 in. to 0.70 in. (4mm-18mm). Kinetics Model AC Isolators are recommended for the isolation of vibration produced by utility ventilating fans, vane axial fans, high speed motors, roof-mounted exhaust fans, and similar mechanical equipment.

  • E400 Mounting 0.36
  • Mounting (Flush to Wall, panel array staggered) with fiberglass fill (1 PCF) and fabric facing 1.11
Random disbursement of sound reflections greatly improves sound quality and consistency for the listener. Thats why geometric diffusers are perfect for band and choral rehearsal rooms and performance spaces. The shaped surfaces of the diffusers break up direct sound reflections and disburse them evenly throughout the listening space. Auditoriums will benefit with the use of diffusers on the rear and side walls.
Available in two standard shapes, offset pyramidal and radius, geometric diffusers are commonly used in conjunction with kinetics acoustical wall panels; a combination of sound diffusion and absorption that greatly improves overall room acoustics. Geometric diffusers are also used in lay-in 1516" standard grid ceilings.
Diffusers are provided in a white thermo-molded co-polymer. Optional painted surfaces are available as approved by the factory. All radius and pyramidal diffusers are available with an optional fabric facing using factory approved materials.
