Grange Products has produced a wide variety of abrasive blasting vessels for a number of industries over the years, and can be depended upon to satisfy your particular OEM applications. Abrasive blasting consists of directing a stream of compressed air and abrasive material against a surface to smooth, roughen or shape it. The process is also used to remove exterior dirt, rust and other undesirable elements. Generally, there are two methods of applying the abrasive substance; dry and wet. Dry applications involve a pressurized vessel containing an abrasive media, which controls its flow into a compressed air stream. In wet blasting, the abrasive material is added to a pressurized stream of water or other liquid. Numerous abrasives may be used in the process such as aluminum oxide, glass beads, steel shot, metal pellets and soda powders.

Our company offers several standard pressure vessels, including portable and stationary air receivers, mediaabrasive pots and Handy Air; all designed to satisfy a variety of applications.

LaGrange Products also produces an off-the-shelf portable compressed air vessel that’s called Handy Air. Its large 9.1 gallon chamber is constructed of .094 heavy gauge carbon steel, can handle 150 PSI maximum working pressure, and complies with OSHA and ASME specifications. Handy Air sports a 6-foot heavy-duty air hose, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, rigid front and rear 2-leg construction. LaGrange Products’ Handy Air is hydrostatically tested at 225 PSI and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

A heat exchanger does what its name implies; it transfers, or exchanges, heat from one medium to another. The heat exchange may be handled in a variety of processes, including shell and tube, plate, plate fin, regenerative, adiabatic wheel, fluid, waste, dynamic scraped surface, phase change, direct contact, HVAC air coils and spiral. Industries using heat exchangers include food and , chemical plants, waste water treatment, a variety of refrigeration applications, the cooling of gases and fuel refineries.

LaGrange Products has produced airoil separators since 1978. Our separators are built in the United States to meet national and international quality standards, such as ASME, and are 100% hydrostatically integrity-tested. Simply put, airoil separators separate oil from the compressed air in portable and industrial applications. They conserve lubricating oil, improve compressor performance, and ensure consistent air quality by reducing the oil in the compressed air system. Separators trap oil by allowing it to coalesce and drain to the bottom of the separator tank. There, the oil is reintroduced to the lubricating system, while allowing compressed air to pass on through to the air receiver.

Our welding staff is certified in every discipline, and all of our vessels are hydrostatically integrity-tested. Our company is committed to the development and betterment of our products, services and processes. Stainless steel is the preferred construction material for a wide variety of vessels. It contains a much higher chromium content than carbon steel, and therefore doesn’t oxidize, stain, corrode or rust as easily, and also offers better antibacterial properties. Carbon steel can rust when exposed to air and humidity, and must be finished or lined with a protective surface, such as Teflon, paint, zinc plating, epoxy, etc. Stainless steel possesses enough chromium so that it forms an invisible film of chromium oxide, which prevents surface corrosion.
