MATCO mfg's MCMC-4X master cylinder uses a REMOTE reservoir. The MCMC-4X can be used in individual or dual brake applications. Buna-n orings are used in this assembly. Mil-H-5606 aircraft hydraulic fluid or compatible fluids are reccomended. DOT5 may be used but not DOT5.1 which contains glycol. DOT3 and DOT4 may not be used and will cause immediate damage to the seals. DIMENSIONS The MCMC-4X master cylinder measures 5.62 inches from end to end and 5.15 inches from mounting hole to mounting hole. A 0.625 inch diameter piston is used. Available stroke is approximately 0.6 inches and displacement is 0.18 cubic inches. The ports on all MATCO mfg master cylinders are 18 inch NPT (except the MC-4E and MC-4CT).

The WHLAXLE27 axle is a FLANGE style axle made of 6061-T6 AL alloy. This axle has a 0.75 inch diameter bearing surface and is designed for use with the WHLTW40R wheel assembly. This axle assembly is designed to allow rigid column support of a fork type nose landing gear yoke. The locking axle nut allows bearing preload torque to be applied separately so that deflection effects of the nose gear fork to not introduce oscillating bearing preloads. The 1.5 inch diameter flange has a 0.1875 inch tapped hole for restraining rotation of the axle assembly in the landing gear fork. The WHLAXLE27 is designed for use with 2.9 inch wide forks. Wider fork widths possible with use of spacers on each side of the axle. The 0.25 center hole provision also facilitates supporting wheel for tire balancing (see installation instructions below). Balance weight can be purchased as well (MSCLDWT) The installation of this axle is similar to the WHLAXLE24 (for 1.25 inch bearings).

MATCO mfg produces the WHLTW5120MM 5 inch nosewheel for use with Tecnam aircraft. This wheel uses 20mm ball bearings Dimensions The WHLTW5120MM uses 20mm Sealed Ball bearings. It is 3.25 inches wide with 1.89 inch bearing spacing and weighs approximately 2 lbs.

MATCO mfg produces a superior 5" inch wheel and brake assembly for use with aircraft requiring less than 1180 lbs per wheel. This model uses 0.75 inch TRB bearings. Bearing spacing is 3.08 inches and axle spacing is 1 inches. The total weight of this wheel and brake assembly is 4.57 pounds. The bearing axle diameter is 0.75 inches.
