HOSECAT Tool

HoseCat is a state-of-the-art tool to aid firefighters in the handling of NST and STORZ hose couplings. The HoseCat comes in three different styles to meet differing needs.
The HoseCat 1 hose coupling assist tool which allows one firefighter to uncouple or recouple NST (National Standard Threaded) couplings up to 4 quickly and safely. HoseCat II is for 4 or 5 Storz-type couplings and is particularly useful with Storz couplings with thumb locks. Hosecat III is for use when you have both types of hose on the same truck. No matter which model you get, having it permanently mounted on the apparatus at a safe working height, reduces the risk of injury for a single fire fighter using a pair of spanner wrenches and or damage to the hose by standing on it to keep it from moving while trying to tighten couplings on the fire ground.
All operations with HoseCat can be completed with bare or gloved hands. HoseCat is hinged and easily swings from the stowaway into working position. HoseCat will accommodate all popular hose coupling sizes from 1.5" up to and including 4" and 5" diameter hoses.
The technological breakthrough of HoseCat more than a decade ago allows the proper tightening of hose couplings when loading hose beds and eliminates the need for two firefighters or two spanner tools to uncouple fire hoses. The stainless steel construction and durable design of the HoseCat will last indefinitely, allowing units to transfer from their old apparatus to newly purchased apparatus providing for years of trouble-free use.

MATSACK AIR BAG LEAK SEALING SYSTEM

MATSACK AIR BAG LEAK SEALING SYSTEM
The MatJack Air Bag Leak Sealing System is made with Dupont Barricade material. The name you've trusted in hazmat protective gear for years. Matsacks are available as a system compatible with any high pressure air bags.
MatSacks set up quickly, are simple to use, get you well out of the immediate hazard area and are designed to work with your existing high pressure airbag system. Available in a variety of sizes, MatSacks work well on smooth or rough surfaces, and offer the ultimate in chemical resistance, safety, strength, and flexibility. MatSacks seal leaks fast on tanks, trucks, or pipes. MatSacks are highly adaptable to numerous hazmat situations.
Operating Guidelines for MatSack Leak Sealing Kit
System Operates at 25 p.s.i. 1.7 bar maximum
Insert high pressure airbag into Matsack of appropriate size and connect to female coupling inside sack.
Zip sack closed and snap zipper hood into place.
Attach male end of steel line to the lock fitting on outside corner of sack.
Attach 20' safety relief hose to end of steel line.
Attach your existing airbag control to relief hose, then attach regulator and regulator hose to control from air source. You are now ready to approach job site provided you have your PPE in place.
At rupture site, place adequate size neoprene pad on opening to absorb sharp edges that might be protruding and to seal opening around the edges of the Matsack.
Place MatSack over neoprene pad.
Caution- make sure neoprene pad is in place to protect sack from sharp edges and help create seal.
Once MatSack is against neoprene pad, and while it is held in place, run ratchet belts with Barricade covers in place through loops on face of Matsack. Make sure any contaminated surfaces have sleeved belt in contact and not bare ratchet belt in contact; otherwise, you may defeat the purpose of the protective sleeves.
Once ratchet belts are in place and tightened, begin inflation until ruptured area is sealed.
DO NOT OVERINFLATE, DUE TO TREMENDOUS FORCES CREATED BY AIRBAGS MORE DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.
If ruptured area is not sealed in first attempt, deflate bag, reposition Matsack with padding, and then re-inflate.

HIGH PRESSURE AIR LIFTING BAGS

MatJack high pressure air lifting bag require only 1" clearance and can lift up to 86 tons with the touch of a button. Primarily used in low insertion height situations with heavy weight needing to be lifted such as; buildings, bridges, vehicle or structural rescue, load shifting, heavy truck or aircraft recovery and machinery moving to name a few.
Matjacks unique construction of four full layers of Aramid Fiber per side used primarily in applications such as rescue where product lighter weight is a benefit or three full layers of woven steel per side, used in rugged, demanding, high duty cycle applications such as building lifting, machinery and recovery, both provide for a lifting bag unequalled in strength and durability.
Matjack high pressure air lifting bags are made in the USA, are ISO 90012008 and CE Certified and boast an industry best 5 year unconditional warranty!
All Matjack high pressure air lifting bags are marked with a distinct "bulls eye with tonnage rating" for ease of centering under the load and picking up the correct tonnage bag if in a hurry and low visibility situation.
All Matjacks have a conical, interlocking surface to limit slippage and aid in stacking.
All Matjacks have either carry handles or tabseyelets molded right on for lifting or attaching to fixtures.
The Matjack push button, deadman or joy stick controller allows for independent or simultaneous operation of one or more airbags.
Supply hoses are color coded to help eliminate confusion during simultaneous operation of more than one air bag.
Available in a variety of sizes and ranging in lifting capacity from 1.5 tons to 86 tons, the Matjack air lifting bag system is efficient, economical, safe and reliable.

LOW PRESSURE AIR LIFTING CUSHIONS

MatJack low pressure lifting cushions require only 1-3 25-75mm clearance and can lift tons of weight with as little as 2psi .14bar.
Matjack low pressure lifting cushions work best in cantilever or "hinged" style lifts, but can also be used for vertical lifting if rigged correctly so lateral movement of the weight being lifted is restricted.
Matjack low pressure cushions work on volume rather than pressure to create the lift, working from 8-10 psi.5-.7 bar depending on the model.
Matjack low pressure cushions, unlike high pressure air lifting bags which lose capacity as they inflate, lift the weight they are rated for the full lift stroke of the cushion.
Matjack low pressure cushions are made with Hypalon and Neoprene for unmatched durability and strength, which is why they are the number one choice for low pressure equipment among rescue squads, all branches of the U.S. military and civil defense agencies worldwide.
Matjack low pressure cushions not only come in 12 standard sizes, they can be made any size to meet a customer's individual needs.
Matjack low pressure cushions have a 5 year warranty, but with normal care and maintenance, they should work well over 20 years trouble free.
All Matjack standard airlifting cushions are CE certified and meet our ISO 9001:2008 registry.

MATJACK UNDERWATER LIFTING BAGS

MatJack underwater lifting bags were introduced back in 2004. Underwater lift bags come in lots of shapes and configurations to meet all your floatation needs whether it is in shallow streams or ocean depths.
The open bottom cushions fill from the top and displace water out of the bottom until either the submerged vessel begins to float to the surface or the bag fills and the relief valves open. These are used the best in water deeper than 20 ft 6m because of their general configuration and need more room to operate. Open bottom bags can also lose air due to rocking back and forth while on the surface when in rough water, known as burping. Retrieving anything submerged with this style bag has to be done in a manner allowing for quick hook up to recovery equipment located on a solid foundation when the submerged vessel breaks the surface of the water to limit the chance of losing the recovery due to the bag burping. The biggest advantage of the open bottom cushions is the ability to build very large recovery cushions with lower costs providing for a more cost effective cushion when dealing with greater lift capacity cushions.
The enclosed pillow style cushion offers a less volatile cushion due to the air being trapped inside so it only vents when either the relief valves open or divers pull on the ropes attached at the relief valves to open them manually. Many sizes are available covering a wide range of lift capacities. These are ideal for recovering vessels in shallow water such as lakes and rivers.
The boulder bags for very shallow water, salvage tubes for long sided hull or similar, propeller bags and personal floats are all used more for specific type recoveries and need to be discussed with one of our staff for proper application.

LANDING SAFELIFT BAGS

Since 2005, MatJack Landing Bags have provided users the ability to do recovery uprights on tractor trailers, heavy tracked equipment, box trucks, overturned mobile homes, etc without the use of a catch vehicle. Landing bags work due to a constant airflow and require it to stay inflated. Landing bags are placed under a load with the intention of not allowing the load to gain speed during uprighting operations and descent of the load past fulcrum point. Landing bags control vehicles as they come over while allowing the air to escape through 3 ported openings in each cushion increasing control of the vehicle and rate of descent. This is critically important to avoid further damage to equipment. Rapid, uncontrolled descent of any equipment is dangerous and should be avoided to prevent potential injury or loss of life!
Matjack Landing Bags are typically used under wheels of vehicles to control descent but have also been used under frame sections to catch box trucks and mobile homes and even track drives on cranes.
Single lane uprights are now accomplished in a much easier fashion with less set up and quicker dismantle time for those quick clear incident situations. Any upright recovery is now quicker, safer and more professionally done when using Matjacks Landing Bags!
Landing Bags come in complete sets or individually. Everything is included in each set to get you up and working within a matter of minutes.
Landing Bags are made of a special material designed to resist tearing but allow quick repair if damaged in the field. The large Camlock fittings provide for quick assembly and disassembly of the system.
All Matjack Landing Bag systems will provide you with years of trouble free use and come with the same outstanding warranty, service, training and care you have come to expect from Matjack.
