Bar Grating consists of a series of bearing bars welded (or otherwise joined) at various intervals to perpendicular cross bars to form a load-bearing panel. Panels are manufactured by welding, locked by swaging, or press-locked processes. A typical panel configuration has bearing bars that are spaced 1-3 16 inches (center to center) with perpendicular cross bars spaced 4 inches apart (center to center). Other spacings are available to meet your loading and open area requirements.

McNICHOLS Flattened Expanded Metal diamond-shaped openings are flatter and smoother than the Standard Expanded Metal patterns, having been run through a flattening process. This process elongates the short way of the diamond pattern. This product comes in a wide variety of opening sizes (long way of the diamond 2.75 to .30 inches), gauges (thickness of strand), and materials (plain or galvanized steel, aluminum or stainless steel). Sheet size choices typically range from three to eight foot widths and eight to twelve foot lengths. Others are available by special order.

McNICHOLS Equal Leg Extren Angle is a fiberglass structural component in a 90-degree angle configuration in an L-shape with two equal width legssides. Angles are stocked in a variety of thicknesses in both polyester and vinyl ester resins, sizes range from 1 x 1 inch to 6 x 6 inch in 20 foot lengths.

McNICHOLS Quality Molded Fiberglass Stair Tread Covers are intended to provide a cost-effective slip resistant surface cover for existing concrete, metal or wood steps. They are an easy way to increase the safety of stairways through their durable gritted surface. Tread covers are made from a molded polyester mat that is corrosion resistant and are fire retardant. Covers are black with highly visible yellow nosing and are available from stock in 9 and 10 inch widths by 12 foot lengths. The ADA compliant covers will ensure years of safe, maintenance-free service.
