Standard Thermometer

High stability
Low drift, long service life
Wide temperature range
Description

Calibration by means of an external standard thermometer
The WIKA standard thermometers are particularly suited for applications in industrial laboratories. They enable easy comparative calibration in our baths, in tube furnace and in dry well calibrators.

The use of an external reference thermometer is recommended, particularly for the calibration of short temperature sensors. Thus the errors due to the radial and axial temperature distribution in the temperature conditioning unit are considerably reduced.

For calibration, the test items and the standard thermometer are brought to the same temperature in a temperature conditioning unit.

As soon as a stable temperature is reached, the test items are read or their output signals are measured (resistance, thermoelectric voltage, standard signal) and compared with the standard thermometer.
Using this comparison method, the measuring uncertainty can be considerably reduced because not only the display of the temperature conditioning unit is taken into consideration.

High stability
Low drift, long service life
Bare wires, DIN connector or SMART plug
Description of the reference thermometer

The refererence thermometer CTP5000 provides a full range platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs) for use in every application from standards calibration to site temperature measurement. If the off the shelf range will not suit the needs the thermometers can be supplied custom manufactured to almost any specification. WIKA also provide a range of standards resistors for use when calibrating platinum resistance thermometers.

Using calibrated probes with a precise thermometer there is a choice between storing the calibration data into the memory of the instrument or if using ASL SMART probes for ease of convenience, the calibration is stored in an electronic memory chip located in the connector of the reference thermometer. Therefore moving the SMART probe between channels or instruments is easy as the calibration data is stored in the SMART-probe connector, no need to enter the calibration data into the instrument channel now being used.

For calibration, the test items and the standard reference thermometer are brought to the same temperature in a temperature conditioning unit.

Special features

Non-contact temperature measurement
Temperature ranges from -60 C . +1, 000 C (-76 . +1, 832 F)
Dual- target laser
Input for thermocouple
Simple operation
Remarks

Infrared hand-held thermometers enable temperature measurement from a distance, without contact with the object being measured. They are particularly suited to those applications where thermocouples and resistance thermometers cannot be used.

In particular, their simple operation makes infrared handheld thermometers the safest measuring equipment for measuring hot, difficult-to-reach or mobile objects, and thus avoiding damage or contamination.

Infrared hand-held thermometers are appreciated by experienced users in a wide range of industrial sectors, from the service and maintenance of machinery and plant to foodstuff monitoring, as they rapidly, safely and precisely measure surface temperatures.

In processes where temperature plays an important role, infrared hand-held thermometers have become indispensable test and measurement equipment in the last few years. Wherever temperature has a significant influence on process safety and product quality, an infrared hand-held thermometer should be close at hand.

Typical application examples of non-contact, high-speed measurement of surface temperatures with infrared handheld thermometers include measurements on:

Parts which are hard to access
Rotating parts
Live electrical conductors
Dangerously hot objects
Low-mass parts
Aggressive materials

Description

Proven primary standard
The model CPB3500 dead-weight tester is a genuine primary standard, which derives the measurement of pressure directly from its fundamental equation p = FA.
This mechanical measurement principle provides superior reliability and stability over time, eliminates most risks of measurement error and reduces calibration uncertainties. It makes the CPB3500 the ideal tool for the calibration of any type of pressure measuring instruments on a daily basis.

Robustness and modularity
The instrument is built on a tough, stable aluminium base with light weight corrosion and impact-resistant ABS case.
Piston cylinders are interchangeable among the various models within the CPB3500, so that in case of changing requirements any CPB3500 tester can easily be upgraded on other available ranges.

Mass sets are fully interchangeable between pistons of the same range within the claimed standard accuracy. The mass set is made of non-magnetic stainless steel so that masses remain extremely stable over time.
Bases can also be quickly converted into a comparator by substituting suitable transfer standard for the piston and mass set.

Ease of operation
Two built-in precision soft seat valves combined with a volume adjuster provide fine pressure control capability. A safety pattern gauge is fitted to the instrument base to show the approximate pressure. The masses are top loading (except on the 25 bar400 psi range) for easier and faster operation and available in the most common pressure units.

Digital Pressure Gauge

The model CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge takes the concept of an analogue gauge, and raises it to a level only matched by digital calibrators. The accuracy of digital measurement technology and the simplicity of an analogue gauge are combined together to create the digital pressure gauge CPG1500, which in terms of performance, ease-of-use, and instrument features, is unmatched in the pressure measurement market.

Accuracy
The digital pressure gauge CPG1500 offers an accuracy of 0.1 % of span (optional 0.05 % of span) and is temperature-compensated in the range of -10 +50 C (14 . 122 F). Readings can be displayed in one of 26 pressure and 5 level units or also in customer-specific units, so that intricate conversions are avoided.

Sampling rate
The measuring rate can be user-defined to match the type of measurement required. Standard applications usually use three measured values per second. If required, this rate can also be set to 50 measured values per second. Via an energy-saving function, the digital pressure gauge CPG1500 switches automatically into sleep mode, in this mode the battery life can be increased up to 2, 500 hours.

Features
Through the new and innovative menu navigation, simple operation is ensured. The clear display, with integral bar graph display and large text area, assists with the effective analysis of the widest variety of measuring points. With the MINMAX function, the highest and lowest pressures can be accessed immediately and saved automatically.
